iPad 2 in few months will be 4 years old device, and iPhone 4s is already over 3 years old device. I am impressed with how well iOS 8.1.1 is running on those devices. yes, they are not as fast as they were brand new with the original OS, but they are not bad or unusable either.

Core i7 4770 w/ stock cooler - 100 C during Intel CPU stress test

Asus H87M-E - strange temperature

Few days ago, I finished installing my new system. I have Asus H87M-E with i7-4770. I noticed that HWMonitor 1.23 reports mainboard temperature at 109-110C. I am assuming that this is some kind of a glitch and should ignore it, but I am wondering if anyone has ran into issue and got a solution...

LGA 1150 Haswell Motherboard with proper VT-d support

I do not have any way to confirm this by testing; however, My Asus H87M-E has an option in bios to enable VT-d - strangely it is in a different section then VT-x option.

If you are going to upgrade to Windows 8, it wont matter what version you get, as long as it is 64bit. Non pro has 128gb limit while pro has 512gb limit, so either one would work in your case.

I am assuming you have Windows 7 home premium (64bit) which has 16gb limit. To see all memory in the OS, you will need to upgrade to at least Professional version.
