slow data transfer via 100mbps network

The traffic could be getting routed through internet. How are you transfering the files? I know with FTP (using external IPs), between certain machines on my lan, the traffic gets routed out through internet dropping it to 60kbyte/s even though all the machines are on a switch. The weird thing...

Which BIOS for A7V133?

I guess I'll just use the 1005a one, of course the only reason being wanting to have the latest software installed hehe, it must be some kind of afflicition like wanting the latest and greatest hardware even if your rig is doing fine as it is :) seeya

Which BIOS for A7V133?

Hello, I have an Asus A7V133 and have been using the 1004 BIOS since I got it a few months ago. I noticed on the English Asus site they have version 1005a and on some other languages (German for example) they have 1006. Which BIOS should I use? Does 1006 have more fixed that the earlier one...

FPS *drop* after GF3 install

The FPS you see in HLDS is some strange measure of performance, I forget how it works. It doesn't mean frames per second in the normal sense. Don't worry about it, HLDS will not be affected at all by a video card change.

Nvidia 12.40/12.60 disables manual AA?

I am having this problem as well on my GTS with the 12.40 ref drivers. It seems I can get the GeforceAAset util (handy as hell) to work but choosing "manually choose the AA mode" instead of Software controlled. However there are only 2 freaking modes available that is SO LAME why don't...

Hmm time to go hunt down some beta drivers in the 12.xx range and see how they work. Argh why did they disable coolbits? They should just leave all the "advanced features" hidden by coolbits (overclocking, more FSAA options) and just let it default to dumb mode. l8r

Overclocking AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1Ghz bus 266 mhz

Since you have the A7V133 use a 10 multiplier with 133 bus speed. That will give you 1333MHz, if you have problems try 1200 with 9 x 133. Try to keep the bus speed at 133 at first (assuming you have PC133 RAM). ttyl

Problems with Athlon 1200 default voltage/tweaking on A7V133

Well running with the BIOS set to 1.70v now and AsusProbe as well as MBM are reporting 1.76volts. CPU is now at 42 degrees while under "normal" desktop use (IE, Winamp, ICQ, Word etc) ttyl

Bios Upgrade...?!?!

Hey, I had this problem trying to flash my Asus BIOS. I had a bootdisk but it would still bitch about "protected mode". Just go into Add Remove Programs and create a start up disk, it should boot to DOS (use the basic config) and allow you to use flash.exe etc. ttyl

Ugh I'm dumb, I just changed the settings in MBM to sensor 1 = Asus 1 etc. and it's working fine. I'll install AsusProbe in a bit and see how it works. Thanks for the tips :)
