POLL: (And debate) Required Military Service (or maybe Required Citizen Service)

Countries with a voluntary military policy, such as the US, do so because they respect the inherent rights of the individual. Countries who have a policy of mandatory military service are basically saying that the government views every newborn male as nothing more than canon fodder.

Poll: What's the best OS for gaming?

My brother thinks Win98 is the best OS for gaming. I use Win2k because of my dual processor system, but I also find it better for gaming. The only limitation is the very few games that aren't supported under 2k so that I either have to tinker with them to get them to run, or dual boot to Win98...

Just finished reading "1984"

Now that you've read the book you should see the movie. John Hurt is just what I had imagined Winston Smith to be. Of course I believe Winston was modeled after Orwell himself so the casting of this movie was supurb.
