not surprised at all--what you eat affects practically everything: smell of your sweat, skin tone, hair, etc
i've heard of asparagus & cucumbers having that same affect
my pc also gains time(it's a soyo motherboard). every pc i've had tends to be about 5 minutes faster than the clocks in my house. like you, i can set the pc time equal to a clock and within 24 hours, the pc will be about 5 minutes faster than the clock. for me, just a little annoying.
thanks :) according to the info i found, looks like i was in the group who got the buggy A04 ROM update. i did manage to get everything going, but still can't sync my tasks from outlook to the axim.
hey folks, just upgraded to rom version A04 on my handheld(it's running pocket pc 2002). i have had loads of problems(no tasks synching, terrible reliability on synching in general, etc) since the upgrade but haven't found anything else on the net on this. anybody else run into these problems?
i believe your burner is bad. you might try going to the manufacturer website & see if this is a known problem & has a fix. or if you have another pc, try putting the burner in another box & see what happens. sounds like it's your burner, though :(
are the cds you use supporting a hi burn speed? i would try getting a couple blank cd's from somebody and do a test burn with them. you might also try slowing down your burn speed to like 24 or even slower, just to see what happens.
i agree :) years ago, bill gates took a slightly different road--he got the infant pc builders to include his o/s among the choices of o/s you could get with the early pc's. i think the form you talk about is better for building a real, long-term customer base. i don't believe linux is...
more weirdness  i reinstalled the hotfix and tried to burn using xp's built-in software--burned fine. i installed nero burning software and it is burning fine right now. i don't understand it but my burner seems to be working now.
prosaic, i'm gonna reinstall the hotfix & install nero to see what happens. the only burning i tried to do with the hotfix installed was with xp's built-in burning software.
more info...i removed the hotfix & all was well with my burner. i did get a message during the removal(i removed it via add/remove programs) that a hotfix for internet explorer may not work properly without the 815021 installed. i forgot to write down the hotfix # :o
but ie seems to be doing ok.
i have this hotfix installed and just tried to burn a cd several days after installing it--no luck, won't burn a thing. my burner is an hp 9100.
i'm gonna remove the hotfix and see if it revives my burner. i can read from the burner ok. when i try to burn, the thing times out according to the...
personally, i wouldn't touch sp4 for the first 2 or 3 weeks after release--at least not for production servers. i might put it on a test box a few days after release to see what happens :)
i have an imation flashgo reader/writer that runs off usb. it takes several flash card formats(compact flash, secure digital, memory stick, plus 1 or 2 others). if you can handle a few extra $, i'd get a reader/writer. i've found it very handy.
far as i know, you gotta have a floppy if you want to install 3rd party drivers. although i don't think it's safe, you might be able to interrupt the install, hack the txtsetup.sif file & point it to where your raid drivers are located. i don't think you could use a USB drive, because at the...
thanks for the update, Zepper :) i got some equipment from midwest micro way back when--had good stuff & good service at the time. nice to know they are still around in some form.
i read about it earlier--sad :( atsang is right...that combo of music & his voice on unsolved mysteries was scary. i bet if he were to read aloud some edgar allen poe that it would've been just bone-chilling!!!
meetings & conferences in the pron industry?!? what do they talk about?!? with all the free pron out there, i've often wondered if those companies make any $
title says it all. been looking at a henderson gold core that's 3 mil all over but i don't know how good the brand is. i'm looking for a full-length one that's 3 mil.
i would think you would be limited on file size in 3 areas: the disc capacity, burning software, and your o/s. for most of us, i think the first 2 would be the real determining factors. o/s is more a theoretical thing--the 32 bit versions of windows can handle files bigger than the current...
