:o somehow my earlier post didnt send and I just now noticed dipstick me :D
I have been a member here for years, and, as evident by my post count I hardly ever post. The reason is I simply have no need to post a message and provide fodder for someone to flame because I misspelled a word, or...
And those that think all lcds suck need to look farther than the ones they sell at OD or OM
the only one they carry (OD) worth mentioning is the Samsung 192 which at 25ms resonse has a very clear and crisp picture but it will ghost on you and it does not have digital dvi...the microteks have...
Bump for Dell's 2001fp....I havent gamed on mine yet but it far outshines my philips 109s 19" for clarity and all around picture quality. I dont have a single problem yet with it except maybe being toooo damn bright at default which is easily fixed....
Id say that redbeard had a lot of good points about how much you actually put into a job but really take for granted...like the trash by the pound and the cost of xp updating (bandwidth) and thats just some. last system I built for myself that was custom done took me 3 months of sanding...
Thanks..I believe that 33 for a single link 4 meter cable is better than 100 for a 10 ft one from bettercable. Awesome prices...I appreciate the heads up on these ppl and will be checking them out..thx again for the info mang :D
Hey is there a specific brand of cables that you guys like to use? Or just one that ya'll think is better than the others for performance and quality? I have found some like on cablesandmor and bettercables but know nothing about them. I am really interested in sheilding and ability to be 10...
Go with the plextor - I have had 4 burners and one ultra cav scsi cdrom from plextor and never had one problem yet. I would also get the retail one for the software...
I have the 708a and it does extremely well - one of the only burners that will burn 8x on some of the 4x media...love this drive...
I just bought my 2001fp for the express purpose of watching dvd movies (I have a plextor 708a dvd combo burner on that comp)
First off the movies are excellent to watch and view at any res IMO. There is NO ghosting or any kind of blurring on fast motion video. Images are VERY crisp and clear...
Exactly my point. Just seems like too much of a hassle to me. As I said..if it hadnt seen the post in the HD forum with all the links to the monitor tools I wouldnt have gotten the deadpixel proggie and subsequently prolly wouldnt have seen the pixels anyways. (I didnt even see them when it...
nope actually IM running 1152 x 864 @ 75 hz. It will most definately do 1600 x 1200 as dell says and it is still gorgeous. I just defaulted at 1024 when it came up and changed it to my original setting that I had on my old crt monitor. Also I am running digital as well. I hadnt had a chance to...
Hey guys..
Just got my 2001FP in today and it is gorgeous! I wanna ask though...how many of you have bought them and gotten dead pixels?
Reason I ask is I have 2 dead (one on the left and one on the right, both slightly 1/4 of the way across from each edge) and I just dont see the big deal...
hey thanks for the info fellows...I am checking on some of those now. I already own a Xaser II which I love as well and its just perfect for my applications. I just saw how they redid it on the xaser IIIs and lanfires and thought that was an excellent idea to have the input ends jumpers ide...
Thermaltake makes a case in their Xaser series (Xaser III to be exact) I noticed that they have the hard drive cages in sideways instead of front to back (like the cdrom) Does anyone know of a case that has this feature? I know the old Xasers were like chenming or antecs soho knockoffs basically...
I also think that it is a very elegant and stylish sword. More than I would pay for a replica though. Good Post DangerBoy!
And I think that Chondropython should be made an anandtech moderator as he (or she) seems to have more of a grasp of the forum rules than most. Pretty sad considering the...
Well I had to raise all kinds of cain and after asking for the corporate phone# I got the pricematch and the rebate both. I would have tried to pricematch the drive I bought last week as well but I was about too tired of arguing with the division manager at my local CC. He swore he would never...
ShinSa - most of what my buddy's info can be found here Also, sorry I was misinformed about the source..he said the Abit KR7A board specifically, not the Via chipset. He says it works flawlessly with tbird 1333 but it is cranky and reboots for no reason with XP cpu
And since my case it out for...
I have heard horror stories about the Via chipset and the XP cpus...I bought the KR7A - 133 and the XP 2100 already and am waiting on a case. I wasn't worried about ocing it or anything but a friend of mine has the KR7A and an xp 1900 and says it reboots by itself, freezes, etc. Gaming is...
