I was unable to use Geneva 2 font in XP. It errored - ".. invalid font"
I am able to use and view the font in all previous OSs.
Has anyone came across a similiar situation or knows how work it out. I need the font for an on-line class and would rather start using XP.

ME will not give you problems. It just has a bunch of useless features that most people won't use. (In my opinion). And it's such a hog compared to 98. I will admit that it is a LITTLE more stable than 98.. Just a LITTLE.
Or.. use "Sharing Permissions" It's not as robust as NTSF permissions, but works to some degree. Right click the dirve, select "sharing", select "Share this folder", remove the "Everyone" group, then add the admin you wish.
HA!! I spent many hours on trying to install a different OS my HP4450. HP is stubborn about letting you install anyting other than what came with the machine. Try this: boot to a floppy, run fdisk and remove ALL partions, create a new, then format it. You should be able to run the setup after...
I have a 366 Celeron with 128megs.. Win2k works fine on it, even Advanced Server. Of course it doesn't compare to my AMD T-Bird 1000 mhz. :D.. But the 366 is still ok. If you don't need any of the features of 2000, and it sounds you don't, then go with 98se.

I agree. To tell you the truth... I tested once to see how it works and haven't used it since. It works the way it's suppose to, but it's probably better to just power down the laptop if you need to save power. It takes about the same amount of time and you are asured taht all your data is...

I just installed SP1 for Professional and it created a folder called Service Pack 1 or something like that. Does anyone know if it's ok to delete the folder to clean up disk space or does the OS look for the updated files there??
