What is the best 15" LCD? Sony or Samsung?

I would go for EIZO L365, they are the king in making monitors. I think L365 is using the same panel as NEC 1550M, a newly developed panel by Mitsubishi-NEC, I've seen both L365 and NEC 1550M, they are excellent. Don't go with Samsung, their monitos is pos.

Playing on buying dvd burner......will RAID0? or RAID HELP?

I doubt RAID would help much, SCSI HDD would have a better chance, but SCSI costs a lot... :P

Gigabye Radeon 8500 problem

You can't use the drivers ATi writes for their "Built by ATi" cards, your best bet is to get the latest driver from Gigabyte's website.

Optimal DVD Setup for the PC?

With the power of the modern PC, you don't really need a decoder card. ATi's lines of VGA cards do the job nicely, comes with great picutre quality, too. If you really want a decoder card, check out RealMagic.

Cannot access the internet after removing hub

Did you do any changes on your laptop after you remove the HUB? eg. TCP/IP settings...etc Don't re-install just yet, try to restore your network setting at the very beginning state (before you use the HUB). If you can browse the LAN, but not the internet, check your default gateway setting in...

Setting up a Network and ICS

Check your IP setting in TCP/IP, make sure you have them under the same subnet. An easy one would be: Machine A: IP Address: 192.168.0.1 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Machine B: IP Address: 192.168.0.2 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Hope that help! :)

Go for EIZO, they have the best LCD monitor. However, for a gamer, I would recommend CRT monitor for you.

How to keep your drive password protected on xp?

If you don't want the user to access the folder at all, remove the users from the permission tab on the shared folder. If there are files inside the folder that you don't want others to access, you can go into the file permission and remove users that you don't want them to access the file...

Why don't you go ahead download the latest firmware from SMC, unzip it and then check out the readme file see if it fixes your problem?

Yap, you got it rw120555, assign your permanent equipment a static IP address that's outside your DHCP range, and have the clients getting dynamic IP address. blstriker, for linksys router, you can set your IP start at anything you want, it doesn't necessary to start from .100

I use my Linksys broadband router as my DHCP server, and I never encounter any problem for 1.5 year. I agree with Damascus, for small home network, DHCP has no obvious advantage over static IP. However, when your network gets bigger, you want to go for DHCP to save your time doing...

If you have servers on your network, just assign them static IP. As for clients, dynamic IP is fine, it also saves you lots of administration work.

Problems setting up small home network in XP

It's not the IP settings. The reason you are getting error messages about permission is because the XP machine that is being connected to does not have a computer account for the machine that is connecting to it. Eg. if you have a machine named "Laptop", and the other machine named "Desktop"...

Decent Printer? NON EPSON

I have a HP 950C, works perfectly. Everytime you replace the cartridge, it also replaces the print head. It comes with PhotoRE III technology which makes the color print out quite impressive. Plus, it's not expensive.
