Guru needed: P-III WinXP install issue

Mr covert, XP does not require NTFS. It will run just fine with fat32 and I believe it runs with regular fat too but I've never done it. Many people with format C: with fat32 and D: with NTFS where C and D combined are actually 1 physical HD. Its actually fairly common. Thanks to the reply...

Oh, forgot to mention that I'm installing into a 40gig HD. I wiped the partition with PartitionMagic, recreated it, and set it active. When I installed XP I left it format the HD with fat32. This was done in between the 2 installs too. RB

fry's sempron 2800+ and ecs 755-A2 $69

I picked this up for $69 at Fry's in Tempe, Az. Was too good to pass up. The mobo and a sempie 2800. I think its a 32bit. Not a big deal since 64 bit doesn't work all that well anyway (drivers, etc). I want to see how this baby overclocks. They did a bunch of oc'ing tests at xbitlabs on sempies...

Why are the forums so slow ???

Several weeks ago when AT redesigned the forums it seems that they didn't add much new functionality but made the whole system a whole lot slower. Anyone know why ? Anyone know if there is anything we can do to speed it up ? RB:disgust:

cranston, good off topic rant. You're right on. When looking for the deals the best advice is to keep your mouth shut and act stupid. Believe me, after all the idiots these salespeople see day in and day out they won't be surprised. All it takes is a couple of people giving away the good deals...
