sorry to bump an old thread... but does anyone know where to download the software for this thing? I can't seem to find my CD or get the software off Conext or APC's website. The Powerchute personal edition seems to want a USB connection?

they were likely just testing out the concept at a few stores (and it's looking like it didn't do well)... it's probably not worth the drive. call the store and ask if they carry them.

NFR is a bit misleading as it means more than you can't simply resell the licenses. You also can't use it for any production use. i.e. Demos are ok, testing is ok, learning the software is...

just a note, IBM replaced my failed 75GXP with a 60GXP. I would buy this if i needed a drive, I think IBM has turned around (besides, they did sell the business to someone else [I thought it was Fujitsu]) and they gave me perfect RMA service for the one I had a problem with.

i did this back in january. i had to email them to get my 30 certificate. and i couldn't even use it, so they said they redeemed it into my account. but now it doesn't show up there either. i have no doubt amazon will honor, i just wonder how long it might take...

i had an order in for this product a week ago but then cancelled it comparing to the wega. you do get a better product for the extra money.
