Have you thought of using one of the cable extension kits like this silverstone ??? This would give you the extra 2" you need. Also, for less money, NewEgg carries the Athena brand of P/S and 12V extenders SEPERATELY so you only have to purchase one of the other if you don't need to purchase...

Edwin: The removal of the original fan's pushpins and the allignment of the NB47J's "arms" has been a repeated complaint in this thread. The fact that your 7800GTX ALMOST makes contact with the NB47J is not surprise as Leadtek's cards seems to be a bit longer than some others but at least...

Jedi, I already answered otis's question; dynamix3D is no longer even using the Zalman to cool his CPU; he's using a Scythe Ninja in fanless mode. See his latest pics a few pages back.

I'm not using the Asus replacement fan at this time (although I called Asus and I do have it). I also have an unopened Zalman NB47J. You see, I have not used my Asus mobo since I ordered it, I have never started my new system build :-) However, if you read the other posts in this long thread...

I know of someone using an Asus A8N-E with the Zalman NB47J and a Zalman VF700 ALCu to cool his ATI x800xl and he claims his northbridge temps dropped after he installed the Zalman VF700 so you should have the same results. I wonder why this is so because the Zalman VF700 is exhausting HOT air...

I was wondering the same thing Ron, I played around with my plastic thingeys, and just like the manual says, you can slide them forward and lock them after you route your cables. By closing them as tightly as he can he can keep some heat generated by the P/S from reaching the upper compartment...

That's odd that the larger 120mm X 38mm fan was LOUDER than the 120mm x 25mm Antec Tricools because the acoustic ratings listed in the P180 manual are LOWER for the thicker/larger 120mm bottom fan then the acoustic ratings for the two upper fans !!! 1) Why did you decide to remove the blue...
