That's odd, I've been running my Duron 600 at 960 since June of 01 with just one application from my standard #2 pencil sharpened to a decent point. And it's even mounted vertically (on it's side ya' know) and has a big ol honkin Alpha on it with a mid range fan, and an 80mm case fan blowing...
