mirror a hard drive?

I just got a new hard drive (160 gb) and would like to take out my 40 gb drive. However, I don't want to go through the process of reinstalling XP and Gentoo linux so I am wondering what the best solution is to "mirror" the 40 gb drive onto the 160? It seems I have a few options such as...

xp using default vid card/monitor ?

Turns out it was the AGP driver - I tried another Windows Repair and it couldn't find sisagp.sys so I did a search on that and just installed the newest drivers, rebooted and Windows recognized the Geforce2 MX, rebooted again and it is using it.

xp using default vid card/monitor ?

When I go to Desktop -> right click -> Properties -> Adapter tab it is blank, and the Monitor tab says Default Monitor. I actually have a GeForce2 MX and a Samsung SyncMaster 950p. It does seem that my refresh rate is low (I can't change it), and when I tried installing Diablo 2 it says no...

not booting from cdrom, xp takes over

I put in a CD-RW drive from my other computer because I could boot from the CD from it, so that means its not the CD or the drive. That means it is either the motherboard, or the OS? Could it be the IDE cable? The drives show up in Windows and they work fine, so I wouldn't think so. What does...

Running Too Hot!!! - Need Help

I'm no expert but I'll post a few things that I'm guessing others would eventually say... What is the temp you are running at? Five fans won't matter if you don't have good air flow. Are cables blocking a lot of air? Is your HSF blowing up from or down into the CPU? Try down.

Lucky, cool, I hope to do the cathode too. Why did you choose stealth over spraypaint? Does that mean you can't use your eject button, you always have to do it through your OS? I could live with that but I'm not sure what the downside of spraypaint is. I'm having no luck trying to get this...

ellisgolf - you aren't the one answering the question a million times. It is mainly the guys with lots of posts, and if this will avoid some repetitive questions, more power to them. Those guys make the forum what it is more than the people asking repetitive questions.

Alright, case newbie here... I have an Athlon XP 1800+ and I was just playing a game and it crashed. I am pretty sure it is the temp, when I rebooted it was 59 C, and at idle/low load it runs at 51-52 C. I have a Volcano 6 Cu, 2 Sunon 80 mm fans, and my PSU has 2 fans, and I leave my side off...

Buz2b - okay great, thanks. Right now I have the mobo out of the case, with just the video card, Duron and HSF, and one stick of RAM. I will try reseating everything, and hooking the floppy back up to try to the boot disk. I will let you know how it goes, thanks.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately I now can't even get as far as updating the BIOS (as described in first post). I wanted to try that last because that is how I fried my A7V, updating my BIOS. I guess even though the floppy light doesn't come on, I could try booting with the some flash...

broke my HS "clip"

home network troubles - fixed!!

Wow sohcrates I think you are right about it being the DNS. If I leave the Linux computer (#3) out of it, #2 works fine. But when I try to get #3 on the net, neither can get it, but now that you say that, I tried and I can ping yahoo.com's IP but not yahoo.com on both. I didn't really think...

Overclocking on the ECS K7S5a

When I go to CPU PnP setup the only option I can change is the FSB. I do change it from 100/100 to 133/133 and get my Duron 600 to go at 800, but before with my A7V I didn't even do that and just changed the jumpers for the multiplier from default to 9.5x (I unlocked the L1 bridges). Is there...

That is a good point about this just being the beta, but I didn't think too much changed during the Blizzard beta tests, although it does make sense that they would improve it since Blizz sells so many copies I doubt they would limit themselves to having people with my specs having to play on...

Thanks, lots of different opinions. Well my friend has a Athlon 1.3ghz and ATI Radeon 7200 (64 MB, I think its 7200) and his runs amazing even during big battles.

Warcraft 3 beta test..edit: not accepting offers anymore, but post your comments here!
