What are some advantages to the gigabyte 7dx(r) over the Epox 8k7a(+)?

What are some advantages to the gigabyte 7dx(r) over the Epox 8k7a(+)?

Which is better in the long run GeForce2 MX or Kyro II?

I don't know - I went with the Kyro II and find its performance great - I haven't had the chance to see the MX in action so I can't comment on the performance. I can however, tell you that I am very pleased with the Kyro II (Hercules 4500). hope that helps, roc

BIOS FLASHING <--- Is It Necessary??? Is It Dangerous???

I would say that its good. If you happen to get a bad file (or corrupt download) thats when things go wrong. If the BIOS update addresses issues you are currently having with the motherboard or perhaps increases performance then thats something that can't be beat. Just as a precaution I usually...

Which ENERMAX PS should I get?????

I'm using the 350 enermax with the intake and exaust fans. I got mine at directron.com (like 8 bucks higher but very very dependable usually ship the same day). I agree with splice, I really like mine. BTW, its quite too (which is sometimes overlooked). Hope I helped. Best Regards, roc

Best place to get best ROUNDED cables?

If you want the stainless brand try "www.nerdsbyte.com" small mom and pop store. Plus they ship USPS Priority Mail so thats a plus in my book. They are a little spendy but overall the looks justify the price and of course "www.plycon.com" has some nice rounded cables as well...

A7M266 and APM

The Windows settings will always over-ride the BIOS settings in things such as APM, I would try setting it through control panel "power". If you've done anything in your startup (via msconfig) you may want to check the start up tab to be sure that power items listed as "load power...

ThermoEngine real or hype??

From the many articles I have read it is great. I doubt that the many review sites out there would compromise integrety just to give that HSF a good score and accept some money. I personally have not seen the drive perform, but from others I have talked to it performs resonably well. -roc

That is strange indeed - if the assosiation is there it should open with your selected choice unless the program it is assosiated with is causing it to try to load PSP(Paint Shop Pro) I might try to download and install PSP and see what happens. -roc
