wierd beaviour of windows 2000 server

I've had a similar problem before. Check your DNS settings on the 2k servers to make sure they are correct. I believe Microsoft has some info on TechNet about this sort of thing... I'll post a link if I can find one [Edit] Here is a link to setting up DNS from Microsoft's website...

All-In-Wonder - Right For Me?

Does anyone have experience w/ this cordless phone? (panasonic?)

At work we have similiar Panasonic phones all the way around (10 employees), and they take more of a beating than any phone I've ever seen (dropped on cement, thrown across the office, you name it), and the only problems I've seen is the battery going to hell and one speaker dying.

Windows 2000 Professional does not have it built in. You need to have at least Server or above (Adv. Server, Datacenter), to do any RAID functions.

Well my wife is worse. She doesn't tell me to get the hell out. She just falls asleep! Yep, there has been many o' times where even she was talking, then in the middle of the sentence, it just goes silent. I look over, and sure enough, she's asleep! Funny as hell...

help me get rid of these C's

Those C:\ 's are caused by programs starting in the Autoexec.bat and/or config.sys files. Some examples include: himem.sys, cd-rom drivers, antivirus startup scans, etc. You can edit the files manually using notepad, and I don't believe that there are any files in there that you absolutely...

I'm pretty sure that you have to move or remove the inetcpl.cpl file from the windows\system directory (I believe that is where it is...) I read about this on MS' site a couple days ago

electronic mosquito repellents - do they work?

We had a citronella candle going once... the mosquito's and other bugs landed on the sides of the pot thing like they were enjoying the heat! (needless to say, we were smacking them left and right... it seemed like it actually attracted them instead of repelling them!)

anyone here know how to play with glow sticks?

This is not very safe, but... if you cut the glowsticks open and pour the glowing liquid all over yourself (arms, clothes, etc), that makes things look really kewl. Don't mind the dizzy feeling afterwards ;)

Subnetting allows you to group your nodes into groups. You may want to separate accounting from support, management from grunt, etc. It also keeps collisions at the switch to a minimum, because less nodes per subnet means less collisions.

Might be a stupid question.. but is is possible to use different connections (calbe/adsl) to surf the net?

You may want to also try WinGate... It will allow you to route different traffic over different adapters (NIC's). This may work, but I've never tried it.
