The 3/18/09 bios is the ORIGINAL bios for this card (MSI HD4890 OC). The updated/fixed bios is dated 06/29/09 and not yet available for download from TechPowerUp. Hopefully they will process it soon, but again, PM me your email and I will send it to you directly. PDS

The updated "v103" of the MSI VBIOS is dated 06/29/09 (my original "v102" bios was dated 03/18/2009). I flashed it and haven't noticed anything different (but haven't done much). Btw I used ATI WinFlash to load the new vbios (download). I did upload the new vbios to TechPowerUp so they...

Ha, obviously you don't have the prob then! Go back 1 page and there's mention of the "blanking out" issue with Dell 2408WFP lcd's (and perhaps others). Discussed on several other sites in detail (including Dell). This apparently was a bug with ALL 4890's (way to go Ati/Amd). PDS

dunno... I guess for the money... It uses DDR ram which is good if you have some laying around. but chipset you want now is i945P w/ICH7 w/ DDR2. Then get low-end P4 cpu and upgrade to serious P4 later when prices r cheaper. PDS

My question on the Audigy4 will be THE DRIVERS. The Audigy2 roll-out sucked because the drivers were TERRIBLE. Failing to install on certain machines and SLOW GAME PERFORMANCE. Then it took them a year or more to iron it all out. Overall great hardware, but poor software...

HOT!! Pinnacle Studio 9 Plus for $9.99 after rebates at Circuit City

I think Studio has been in that business model for awhile now, lots of features, but buggy, so they come out with a new ver and everyone "hopes" THIS one is better. Its a shame they cant get it right, but even more of a shame that we keep buying it! I've also found Studio to be picky about...

Newegg.com censors bad reviews

Newegg was "mwave.com" way back when, that's where it all started. As far as shipping, Newegg now has East Coast warehouse (and possibly others) so they are saving on shipping now (and we get stuff faster too). I agree, Newegg has bloated, but its still good. I do miss the good old days...

I like the Nero 6 "VisionExpress 2" video / dvd authoring program. Its simple, but it works and rarely crashes. Unlike the Ulead Studio 7 I have (also have Pinnacle 8 which is better, but also unreliable). VisionExpress2 is good for dvd creation, but weak on video editing, just basic stuff...
