80GB 2.5" PATA HDD ~$44 @ walmart.com

You can get a m2 ssd and a m2 to pata adapter. Cheaper than most pata drives, and a whole lot faster, smaller, and less power. When my old notebook pata drive goes, I will be doing this.

Antec P280 case for $55 or less AR? (future Shell Shocker - 3:00PM CST))

I just opened my shipment from tigerdirect. The power supply does not have a power switch, which is a novel way of saving a few pennies. The included power cord is the lightest power cord I have seen.

MCM 18'' Subwoofer Cabinet - 500 watts RMS.........$103.87 plus shipping

It is curious that these weigh only 61 lbs. A well made box of these dimensions should be heavier, as should the speaker. This is clearly a PA subwoofer, not a high fidelity woofer.

Efficiency is a tradeoff between low distortion, and low frequency response. It is not related to cone size. 91db is reasonably efficient. A better question is what does a frequency response of "20Hz~500Hz" mean. Is it +- 1db, 3db, 10db, or 100db? Without knowing, it is meaningless. In...

Patriot 32GB Dash Flash Drive - $20.00 AR @ Fry's.

This is a big, inexpensive drive. It is the slowest writing drive I have measured, topping out at 5mb/sec. Also, there is no LED access light.

Locking down a public Win7 Home Premium 64-bit PC?

You could use a bootable linux distribution via a cdrom drive. Knoppix is the most popular and works with almost any hardware. Remove the hard drive from the computer. Nothing at all will be saved between boots, as there is no writable media in the computer. Simple, secure, and free.

Antec Lanboard Free after MIR($6) @ Fry's

I got one a month or two ago for FAR, along with a removable sata drive thingy from antec. I suspect the deal will reappear in a month or two. It is basically a 4 wheel cart designed to hold a medium sized tower computer, along with a big strap to secure the computer to the cart.
