Thank you... looks like I need a dedicated PC to setup Sophos and am wondering if I would be better off just getting a business router like the Edgerouter.
We are a small startup and use a TP Link Router + Unifi AP for Wireless we had no access controls but noticed the bandwidth limits being hit really quickly and found some users ran torrents.
What can i do to to restrict P2P access and also have some kind of bandwidth cap?
Cheers
I am setting up a Windows Server 2012 Essentials system with an AMD 5350 + Asus AM1M
I just realized that the motherboard only comes with 2 SATA Ports and I need to hook up 4 Hard Drives.
Is there anyway to add more SATA ports to a system? What's the best way to do this.
Cheers
Thank you.. on second thoughts i am wondering if i should delink both htpc and NAS and get a separate player later on like the WD TV or Roku
Would you guys suggest i try and save on costs by getting the J1900?
I am upgrading from WHS and need a low power NAS setup to run WSE2012 on. Can you recommend a good CPU/Mobo combo? Might double up as HTPC so good movie playback is a plus no gaming at all so doesn't need to be the fastest.
It starts at 2:10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1v0uFms68U
I have gone through all the official soundtracks, wikia, youtube comments but can't seem to find the name anywhere.
Any help?
I am thinking of picking up a Unifi to replace my Buffalo Router which suffers from constant reboots. Do I also need to pick up a wired router to connect my desktop, printer etc which are all wired devices?
Sorry if it's a noob question
Well more than the price i am concerned about power usage with HTPC isn't there something better than the Raspberry Pi which is powerful enough to play 1080p and flexible enough to run XBMC or Plex? and yet around 10-15 watts of power usage?
Thanks guy. How is the interface of the WD Live? I read that the UI leaves a lot to be desired when compared to Openelec/Roku 3 etc.
I don't have any ISO files but fairly large 1080p rips 15-18GB. Can Raspberry Pi handle those?
I am trying to decide between building a HTPC and buying a media streaming player like Roku.
I have no interest in 3D as my TV does not support it and I won't be changing my TV for the next couple of years at least.
I live in India so Netflix, Hulu etc are not an option for me so all my...
Thank you for your reply Kevnich. I am likely to have 3 laptops 1 desktop, 2 ipads and 3 phones connected to it. I will be streaming HD videos and most of it would be on wifi as i don't have the option for ethernet connectivity.
I have a Buffalo WHR-N300 which has really flaky wifi it tends to go down often and I need to reboot it. It's running better now with DD-WRT but I still have the occasional problems. I also have an older WHR-HPG54 which has always been rock solid but only does g and does not have Gigabit LAN...
I have a Dell E6410 and of late I have noticed that my system hangs with horizontal lines on my screen. No keys work and I have to hit the power button to shut down and restart.
It's a Core i5 with Intel Graphics running Windows 7 64bit.
It's under Dell cover and they already replaced the...
I have a Windows Phone 7.5 device (Samsung Focus) and while I would love to get the Lumia 920 in all probability i will end up with an Android phone. While, I haven't used WP 8 I do think that WP looks unfinished.
1. Let's say you mistyped a digit on a phone number and just want to add or...
This is not the first. They also blocked access to the Youtube API. While I don't think Google's decision to discontinue active sync is anti competitive. I do think blocking web apps and access to youtube API are both anti-competitive. I wonder how the FTC gave Google a clean chit.
This is also...
I am trying to install the CM 212 Plus on my i7 and I am not able to install the mounting bracket. There just seems to be far too much gap between the mounting bracket and the board.
This is my first time with an aftermarket HSF and I am not sure what i am doing wrong?
Thanks for looking...
Why is syncing Outlook calendar such a pain on Windows Phone? Heck syncing Google Calendar works fine.. It's these little things which makes Windows Phone look unfinished as an OS
I have the Samsung Focus and the Live Tiles are something i truly like. It's also easy to get to any app you want with just one swipe. Unlike Android where you have multiple screens. i have used my friend's Android with ICS and the interface doesn't appeal to me at all.
I was looking at the Catleap when I noticed the Microcenter Auria and the Overlord Tempest.
Between the three which one would you recommend? I live in India so RMA is not an option so would want to pick up something which has the best quality and reliable.
As for uses, it will be used for...
Here is one reason why MS might have lost confidence in the traditional PC makers. http://www.theverge.com/2012/6/15/3076519/vizio-reboot-pc-american-hdtv-success-do-it-again
Just a quick update. The problem continues but I have realized that I can recover from it by killing plugin-container in firefox under processes in Task Manager. I have no idea what's happening but I think it's firefox/flash which is the problem. Using Chrome for now.
Same problem again. Taskmanager shows 100% CPU Load. Took screenshots on my phone. Sorry about the poor quality of the images guys.
