    Only way tp get your board to fully use DDR400 is to bump the FSB up to 200.. I really don't think that your 2.53 P4 or the 845 chipset will like that very much( your P4 would be running at 3.8 ghz). You can certainly try though by bumping up the fsb until it stops POSTing and a voltage bump...

    This is where having a removeable HDD rack and a second HDDw/tray comes in REAL handy.. Once you get XP up and going as you want, Clone it over (Norton Ghost/Drive Image) to the spare HDD, Then you have one drive that you keep sparkling clean and one that you can dork up completely..

    Yes, OSX and Mac-apps are more tuned for dual procs (Photoshop, etc.) than Windows apps.. that is one of the good things about closed software/hardware. It really does depend more on if the particular app you want is written(properly) for SMP or not.

    Can't find the particular mag right at the moment, But i remember MaximumPC doing an article on how to slipstream your SATA drivers into your WinXP disc. Granted, it was for the 32 bit version, but should still work the same for this purpose..

    If you use Ghost, then you do not have to do any partitioning/formatting, etc.. Ghost will let you expand your info out over the whole 160 gig drive. It will also make it bootable, etc..

    Bet ya wouldn't even notice the difference IF there was one anyway.. Hard drives cannot even saturate the ATA100 spec., let alone the 150 of SATA. Don't stress about it. Also, is it too late to change your order??

    What auto parts store did you find the dye at? I had some long ago called Vinyl-life that worked really good on plastics and vinyl, but can't seem to find it anymore. So I ended up using a satin black spray paint. Painting is a pain.
