You need to stick with the 65nm 1066FSB Intel chips. The newer 45nm 1333FSB chips will not work in the XPS 410.
This means the fastest CPU your mobo supports is the Q6700. The Q6600 is a better value however.
The XPS 410 only supports PC5300 or PC4300 DDR2 RAM. You probably can use PC6400...
Potential spoilers, I guess...
I finished the book last night. The more I think about it the more disappointed I am with it. I thought the ending was awkward and a little contrived; more or less, people were acting in order to serve the theme rather than acting realistically. And so much of...
That's a shame!
I pre-ordered #7 maybe a few weeks before release and even though I opted for free super saver shipping I received the book USPS on release day, 7/21.
I never watched Firefly when it was aired on Fox but I bought the DVD set at Target last year for $19. It's a good show but ultimately is something I consider an "overrated under-appreciated" show. Firefly deserved more than the 11 airings it actually saw but the program does not deserve some of...
Vanguard Diehards on Morningstar.
Some of the posts are pretty heavy and not for the "uninitiated" but if you really want to learn about personal finance especially investing, go read away. There are some very passionate and very informed members there.
The County isn't getting fleeced as much as the church's followers who fell for the Gibert's scheme. This is hysterical. Come on, people: give, give! That mansion could use a Rolls out front.
REALLY?
Bush is now actually open to having strings attached to Iraq War spending bills. This never would have occurred if the rubberstamp Congress of the past had ensued. Moderate Republicans told Bush recently that he is a liability and has no credibility with the American public about the...
When the Democrats took control of Congress it was like applying a tourniquet: it stopped the bleeding caused by years of one-party rule led by a President who sought to expand executive powers. So while the Dems' agenda is not getting very far at least our nation's slide toward...
You're not making much sense.
Warranties are priced so that on average the underwriter makes out, i.e. the amount of warranty claims is less than the premiums paid. I rarely if ever buy an extended warranty for this reason. I want the opportunity to "make a profit", not the underwriter...
This is something the "free consumer choice" people just don't want you to consider. The reason why I display the thumbs down to Hummer H2s that pass me by is that their drivers' choice to own and drive an unnecessary land barge raises costs for everyone else. We are in the current energy mess...
I don't think Intel intentionally disables 2MB of cache to make a E6300/E6400. These chips were instead tested and found to have 2MB of bad cache but were otherwise good, i.e. these are chips that likely could have been binned E6600 or better if it wasn't for the 2MB bad cache. That's why the OC...
Who gives a crap!
If we could actually double the fuel efficiency of our domestic automotive fleet, worrying about what would happen gasoline taxes seems so very petty. I mean, c'mon, DOUBLE the efficiency = less pollution/CO2, less reliance on OPEC, more national security.
Gasoline taxes...
How do you prove God exists? Some of these kinds of questions can be very childish.
I did not say all gays were born that way but you have no proof that every single homosexual "decided" to become a homosexual after birth. Who the heck would choose to be hated and vilified???
You cannot...
Probably the safe answer is YMMV.
I should say that I have 2x512MB Nanya sticks and 2x1GB Corsair sticks in my Dell and I've never encountered any issues. My old Celeron PC with an ABIT motherboard had 3 slots and was only truly stable using 2. Maybe that kind of stuff is in the past.
My previous work PC had a 3.2GHz Northwood and my current home PC is a XPS 410 E6300. Yes, Dell is giving you a very good deal. Not only is the E6300 faster, cooler, more efficient and dual-core, you also get faster system memory.
There are cases where the P4 3.2 will beat the E6300. One case...
Religious beliefs are protected. However, these are something you choose. Sexual orientation OTOH is pre-determined for a percentage of the homosexual population. It definitely deserves protection.
It would be nice if the actual reason why CD sales are steadily dropping off is because people are sick of buying ******-mastered discs. I won't buy them and since so many popular albums are now mastered with too much compression and audible clipping I don't exactly buy much anymore. Screw you...
Today I discussed with my co-workers the possibility of biking into work. It's feasible for me but not exactly practical. The distance is not a big problem - 12.4 mile one-way, elevation varies mostly between 200 and 350 feet - it's the danger involved with riding on heavily-traveled roads as...
Apparently YMMV.
The 2 CFLs that I installed in my master bathroom FIVE years ago are still running strong.
I do know however that CFLs are typically not suitable for outdoor use.
I've been buying CFLs for over 5 years and have broken at least one (thanks to a skittish kitty). I didn't realize until the recent publicity that CFLs contained mercury and I do remember seeing a metallic dust amidst the glass shards for that broken one...didn't think anything of it, just...
The Democratic Party does not have a platform to abolish private health insurance. Stop making up lies.
Some Democrats want a nationalized health care system but then again some Republicans want to make Christianity the national religion...
Bush is immobile on Iraq because he is being true to his incredibly stubborn and simpleton self and wants to save face/preserve his legacy. This is about him, his ego, and his "conservative movement". The talk about the War on Terror is just a smokescreen and apparently a growing number of...
If only this forum were representative of the real world: 45.5% atheist/agnostic. Unfortunately in the offline world we are surrounded by the superstitious at every turn.
Sounds like a very good deal.
I bought a 500GB WD My Book Essential Edition from CC on Sunday for $147.99. CC is advertising $169.99, BB is advertising $149.99 so the 110% price guarantee made it $147.99 at CC.
The Seagate here is $139.99, an $8 savings. One question: does the Freeagent...
I can only speculate but I imagine many soldiers over there would not shed tears if we left Iraq. To be back with their families and on American Soil would be a godsend to many.
The Iraq War has lost its Purpose. Bush thought we could charge in, toss Saddam and fairly readily turn Iraq into...
All the good old days.
I had a 1.4GHz Tualatin Celeron that ran in a PPGA Socket 370 motherboard. Talk about getting your money's worth. When the motherboard (Abit BM6) was released it was made to support 266-400MHz Celerons.
Hopefully the 775 socket will have similar longevity.
