Great price and a great rail. I think Daniels Defense rails are overly expensive normally, but not at this price. Too bad I'm looking for a mid-length instead. . .
Moxi can't record free over-the-air HD using an antenna. TiVo can. To use Moxi, you have to pay a cable company a monthly fee and you don't with TiVo.
Moxi is not a hot deal. Plus, the Engadget HD review was not overly flattering: http://www.engadgethd.com/2009...r-initial-impressions/
You can get an additional 4% off with a Dell Preferred Account(found this at Fatwallet.com)
At the payment screen choose Pay with credit card.
Then there is a little blurb on the screen where you put in the CC info about 4% with DPA. click on that.
Then on the right hand side of the DPA...
I finally got my system up, but I still have the double-boot issue. I purchased an Asus A8N-SLI Premium and an Areca 1230 PCI-e RAID controller. I upgraded to the latest bios and set it for "SLI" mode to finally get it working. Placing the card in the slot closest to the CPU seemed to cause...
Devistater: Thanks for checking into this and for posting the info. I, for one, appriciate all the info you've shared throughout this thread.
It's good to know that they are eventually releasing everything as they promised. I think they could win many more paying subscribers if they...
SuperG03:
Give the latest Sveasoft firmware a try. I don't remember it being able to set a cut-off speed by device but it can set priority by port, by LAN MAC address, and by physical ethernet port used on the router. I think this much more useful because it dynamically allocates bandwidth...
Devistater,
I agree with you that the Sveasoft support is great and that it is definitely worth the fee. Unfortunately, it is used as leverage to prevent redistribution of the firmware, which has caused me to look to the linksysinfo.org forums. Otherwise, I would have freely donated months...
Not sure a hot deals thread is the best place for tech support (linksysinfo.org forums may be better) but here goes:
1. Static IP: What you need is to assign static IP addresses using the DHCPd. Go the the Administration page on the router and click the more link for details. Basically...
Sveasoft firmware does support static DHCP and has for quite some time. I've been using it for static DHCP since around the time this thread started. However, it is more difficult to implement in Sveasoft than in D-link routers. You have to manually enter host name, MAC address, and the...
Not that I could find. D-Link has this feature but not Linksys go for thrid party firmware.
It may keep some of your old settings, but plan on re-entering everything.
Even with the new firmware, I still get better range with my D-Link router. To really increase range, try a better antenna:

Here is an updated list of mirrors for the latest release.

Great deal! I've been happy with Dixiesys for the past 3 years and just upgraded to a new server on 8.95.com. I've received excellent support in the past and highly recommned dixiesys.com / 8-95.com.
I haven't used DOS and SCSI in years! I'm sure it hasn't changed though. You will need the DOS / SCSI ASPI drivers for it to work. Adaptec used to make the ASPI drivers that used for several different CD burners. Check out this link:

Wow! This is an awsome deal! I'm returning my D-Link DI-624 for one of these Linksys routers! I didn't like Linksys products becuse of lack of static DHCP and Dynamic DNS. This new firmware solves those issues and give many more features as well. True QoS will be great for my Vonage VoIP phone!
Thanks for the post! I added the Express Network feature to all 3 of my Americas Choice Family Share phones without restarting my contract. I just started my contract in March, so maybe that helped me qualify. The representative seem surprised that the feature could be added without...
sekser,
I received a call yesterday and today from the installer to come a install the unit. It is included in the price of the receiver from DirectConnection and probably others as well.
There are some limits such as going through only one outside wall, 20 feet run max to nearest phone...
smartcat,
I did a search in the TivoCommunity forum. I didn't get an exact answer, but seiral number higher than 4704XXXX should have one drive. 4702XXX units could have either 1 or 2 drives. I'm not sure about 4703XXXX units.

Sekser,
Tivo lifetime subscriptions are not transferrable to other units. That's why one's that have been "lifetime activated" are more valuable on auction sites.
Sorry for the bad news.
First off, some of the information in this post was found in this thread, as well as on the AVS TivoCommunity forum. Here are the details:
