Sonata vs Lian Li PC60

I have a Lian Li PC60 and a LIan LI PC68 all with Panasonic L1A's on it. I would say with those fans the biggest problem for the system is finding an adequately quiet PSU. Cooling is generally adequate with the fans at low speed. (I have a 2.0 willy in one which is a heat monster and a p4 2.4...

Has anybody OC'ed the 2.66 p4?

I have heard something to the effect that the 2.66 does not overclock very well. The 2.4 definitely overclocks extremely well.

WiFi range: Is it supposed to be this bad? Could Linksys be limiting access point range to sell range boosters?

Didn't Tom's hardware do a review of the Linksys G access point and found that it had some serious problems dealing with the .b standard? You might want to check there. They were very disappointed with the results and said it really required some serious firmware updates for it to be a viable...

2.4B vs XP 2400+

If you are planning on overclocking, unless I'm mistaken, the p4 2.4B c1 stepping cpus are supposedly very easily overclocked to the 3ghz mark. I think they have more headroom than the XP2400+'s do.

If my video card died due to failure of the fan, am I still eligible for RMAing the card?

I bet that they are playing the percentages game... If they sell cards with cheaper fans, they can save x dollars up front. Even cheap fans should last a year or so, and by that point, people will either forget that the card still has a warranty (As most cards have a pretty long warranty) or...

850E confusion with 1066

I do not have anything yet. It is for my brother as an upgrade to his Celeron 400. We're going to go with a P4 2.53B processor and I believe I will pick up an Asus P4 PE based board with DDR support. The Intel produced 850E boards are nicely priced and the price of pc1066 ram is not too bad...

Need help finding a quiet case...

Good idea. I've thought about it, but at least the case that my workstation is using is pretty much proprietary. I don't see how a regular ATX case will fit properly inside the case, especially with the back plate cover. Which case models are you using?

Urrgg, problem with my ipaq

I had similar issues with my iPaq. Suprisingly, the solution for me was to just reset the iPaq itself. Now I never have problems. (the hard reset at the bottom that you have to push in with the stylus).
