Time to replace my wifi router/ap, suggestions?

I ran out and grabbed the R7000 today and set it up in AP mode. It gives a better signal on 5ghz then the RT-N66U did. I also pulled everything off 2.4ghz and moved it to 5ghz or hardwired. 2.4ghz is practically unusable in my apartment complex now it's so noisy. So far everything is working...

I'm definitely looking at the $200 range routers. RT-AC68U and RT-AC87U are both on my radar, as is the R7000 and R7500. Reading the ranks, it looks like the R7000 has the best range in 5ghz band, which is what I'm looking for. Never heard of the TP-Link router before. I'm a little concerned...

So I am troubleshooting my lightning damaged PC

Just wanted to post a follow-up. Turns out the only damage to the PC is the motherboard (which I replaced), and the Power LED light flickers and dies as the PC warms up. Front panel USB 3.0 ports run just fine. Power and Reset buttons work just fine. Don't have a SSD/HDD to test the HDD...

It's preferable to white texture flashing and artifacts. As an extra piece of information, I installed my old XFX 6950 1GB into my new rig. It runs hot, loud, and I get quite a bit fewer FPS. However it has no white flashes, and no artifacts! Runs smoothly too, whereas the 7970 seemed jerky...
