    Try Arcanum. It's steampunk so it does have fantasy elements, but you can play as a techie if you want. System Shock 2 is a must-play if you like FPS/RPG hybrids like Deus Ex.

    I think the devs are real fans of the post-apocalyptic genre in general. I know Silver Style hired some of the old Black Isle team after it dissolved (nice!), but they've been pretty clear from the start that the game will be more like Mad Max than Fallout. I think FF2 is due out soon...
