i read through that other guys nightmare and noticed it was locked. i basically went through the same thing except i had a nightly backup that stored my entire profile on another machine. so i restored from the backup and have a file with no extension in \Crypto\RAS\some mega filename...

xp pro - want to add user to share permission but from another machine..

if you create a shared folder and goto the permisions to add a user, there is a "locations" field that is for specifying machine names. this area is greyed out and im wondering if there is a way to enable this. i would like to create folders on a machine and give the rights to them to users on...

FOLDING@HOME CLI QUICK START GUIDE NOW POSTED!!!

i cannot get a machine ID at all, im behind a proxy, put the proxy info and still nothing. ive tried putting one in the client.cfg file manually, still not working.(just made up something for it)

Is there a GUI frontend to run folding such as setidriver does for the seti commandline? I want to be able to minimize to tray as well. Aynone seen distributedfolding.org yet? Those guys from dslreports are beefing up a team quick and taking notice, anyone here using it or have experience with...

I hit my 1000 mark in seti last night and that basically was my goal for now, seeing as that project will never end, and that we seem to be doing fine in the DSL race. If we get into a crunch on the race I can always go back. I switched my 4 pcs that were running seti over to rc5 last night and...

seti bogging screensaver?

Ok this may sound stupid but I actually like to see my screensaver :) When I was running UD or rc5 client I could run my openGL screensaver at the same time with no problems at all, but seti for some reason seems to not let it take priority and makes the pc hang for 10 seconds while the ss tries...

Please tell me how I can continue to use the "update" stats feature on setispy. It seems like it only works right after I originally setup to command line and then like 10 minutes after its running, that update button is shaded out. Why is this? I LIKE THAT LITTLE UPDATE BUTTON ! :( Its neat...

CoolerMaster ATC 210 pictures

yea there is no intake, both sides are solid as is the front. there is a small open area below the usb ports under the case to allow for some small airflow. H2O will be cooling this one though, oddly enough the two reviews I did read, the cpu/mb temps were only 1 degree higher than the ATC model...

I believe excite owns @home which is based in San Diego, our own local cable company is supposed to be dropping them next year and we will be on our own isp from the cable company itself. :|

New Logitech Speakers Beat Klipsch?

I doubt they school Klipsch, the satellites arent even seperates, they are full range. Its very hard for me to believe any full range speaker can compare to a tweeter and mid setup, sorry. nice looking setup tho for that price :)

any strip down way to run united devices think?

Im just wondering if there are any command line type interfaces for united devices think, like seti has the bare strip down version. So what im really interested is if there is any way to improve the process time for smashing those molecules, or is it just install and let it go? I just tried it...

Highpoint RAID driver?

I have the epox 8K7A+ with this same controller, and just like you have found anyhting newer than the 1.03 driver is crap. This driver gives me the same benchmarks though as the newer one so im satisfied with it. Do you still have problems using the 1.03s?

Yeah, Ive created the raid already and partitioned it, I still cannot get it working. I dont understand how a company can sell boards with a known problem such as this. I went on their newsgroup and found other incidents like this as well. No one seems to have an answer besides the ghosting...

can someone please help? i know there has to be some Iwill ka266r users out there. Im not sure if i have a bad board or what. I went ahead and installed w2k on an IDE and then ghosted it on the raid, it booted find, then i updated the raid drivers with the ones from the floppy and...

I created the raid with no probelms and boot from w2k cd, install the raid/ata100 driver for w2k from the floppy, it continues to intsall then reaches the phase "start windows setup" and just hangs there. Has anyone else had this problem? Ive just removed my KT7A-Raid for this one and...

cat5 wires? 4 or 8?

All of the cat5 i ran throughout my house i just used 2 pair. Much easier dealing with 4 wires instead of all 8 when it comes time to crimp the terminals.
