Currently running a 4870 512mb, Q6600 on a 1680X1050 display.
This rig choked trying to play RAGE; newer games I'd like to play include Dishonored and Bioshock Infinite.

I'm currently playing Witcher; just starting Chapter 5.
I find the game worth playing but at times it feels too "chorelike".
The highpoint for me is the story although the cutscenes at times are so poorly done/translated it detracts from it.
My biggest gripe about it is the load times...
He plans on re-using his monitor.
On the few sites I've tried various configurations adding a basic keyboard, mouse and 2.1 system usually only added a few dollars.
Are there any videocards out there that give great bang for the buck in the $100-120 range?
Are the 5750/5770 worth it?
My buddy has a budget of $800-900 to spend on a gaming computer for this son. I'm not sure what types of games he plays other than Empire Total War.
I'm asking for help because I haven't been paying much attention to the hardware scene for around 2 years.

Being it's BestBuy finding these might be hit or miss. The store I purchased at (Minnetonka MN) had 5 of the 1500VA model and 1 of the 1285 left.
From what I've read these are rebadged Cyberpower units.

Did the body snatchers get hold of him or what?
Compared to how he sounded last Sundy morning on Meet the Press it's like there is two different versions of him; smooth and polished and gee golly down on the farm.
I called Canon and the price for a replacement print head was $70. No thanks; was willing to go up to $40-45 but no higher.
On a whim I checked craigslist and found an I960 for $30. Just picked it up and it is working fine. All 6 tanks are at least half full so I'm pretty happy.

Thanks for all the advice.
Unfortunately the magenta is still not printing. (after repeatedly blowing out printhead sponge with compressed air followed up by deep head cleanings) Replacing the magenta cart didn't help either.
I didn't try the "remove print head and run under hot water"...
I hadn't used my printer in about 3 weeks and when I tried to print out some photos they had a greenish tinge to them.
Went into printer maintenance and did the head cleaning and deep head cleaning several times but on test sheets magenta still doesn't print. The magenta cartridge/tank is...
I agree with the first part but I don't think the Dems will lose the Senate this year. However, I'll predict they lose the House bigtime in 2010. I think the 2010 mid-term election will be very similar to the 1994 election.
Did anyone notice that their assumed name at the military school was "Baum" which also is the last name of the author of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz which Sarah read to that kid?

While reading through posts at the klipsch forum I stumbled upon this guy that does klipsch repair.
He is currently repairing some 5.1s of mine; I should have them back next week.
