Anyone used the ECS K7VTA3 v.5.0???

Just to clarify, I didn't change boards. Frys gave me this one istead of the K7s5a that was supposed to come with the combo. So I'm guessing there won't be too much overclocking ability with this board :(.

Anyone used the ECS K7VTA3 v.5.0???

I just went to Fry's to pick up the AMD XP 2100+ and ECS E7S5A pro and they ended up giving me the K7TVA3 instead. The specs are Here. Anyone know if I will be able to overclock with this board? I would try myself but I don't have the ram for it yet. Any comments you have about this board...

yea the memory stick deal seems pretty hot if there are no rebates to deal with. Amazon has the lexar deal for 30 after rebates but I already used up both of the allowed rebates so I might go check this out at costco. Thanks for the deal.

HOT: Canon S230 with 256MB CF for $378.46 AR - DELL

I just got the camera a few days ago and hven't noticed any real problems with the shutter lag. It's a little over half a second on average, slightly worse than my olympus d-230, but not long enough to be an annoyance. Overall the camera is great.

10 cents for each 4x6 digital print at WalMart B&M YMMV

I wouldn't recommend using photoworks for printing. I got a bunch of prints from them and all had very dull colors. Try shutterfly and you can get a bunch of free prints by referring friends.

Good fan for ThermalRight SK-6?

I use the ys-tech adjustable fan. You can change it from something like 10-48 cfm so you can choose how much cooling and noise you want. Even at its max its not too loud. Check case-mod.com or svcompucycle.com for it.

Lowering the PSU noise

Changing the fans in your PSU shouldn't be a very big problem. Just make sure to discharge it and to don't touch any caps while you're changing the fans. As for the filter I doubt it will quiet the noise, it may even make it louder because as you said, the fan will have to work harder and the...

512MB PC133 for $44.95 at Fry's (No Rebate Involved)***Ad Links Dead**

I got a stick from frys about a year ago and I was able to run it at 156mhz 2-2-3 with no problem. Sandra reads it as Apacer Technology ram, not sure what kind of chips it is, although I've that Apacer uses Infineon. Its still in my system, although I stopped overclocking (I prefer the silence).

Does noise add up?

No. Dbs are on a logarithmic scale so doubling the noise results in an increase of about 3dbs.

How good is this NMB 25 cfm/22 dBA fan at SVC??

I got 4 of them in my antec sx-1000 and they seem to push a decent amount of air at a very reasonable noise level. I replaced 39cfm/32dba sunons with these and my temps barely went up. For two bucks I'd say theyre worth it.

120mm Sunon @ 4600 RPM's !?!?1 WTF

be careful of lowering the voltage too far because a lot of 120mm fans have problems starting up at lower voltages. If you're going the resistor route then the equation is R = V/i

Athlon Cooling Questions

I replaced my delta with an 80mm 48cfm ys-tech fan and my temps stayed the same. The ys-tech fan is 39dba compared to the 46 dba delta, so its significantly quieter. To attach a 80mm fan to the sk-6 just turn it 45 degrees and slide the clips over the corners of the fan. Hope this helps.

PCI Fans, what do people think

Those things are definately quieter than most case fans, but they don't seem to move much air. I have one and can barely feel anything coming out of it, but since it doesn't really make any noise and I have the free pci slot, it can't hurt to use it. I read a review that said that it helped...

Hot Again! Panaflo L1A's

They come pretailed with 3-pin connectors to hook up to your mobo, but if you want to connect them directly to your psu then you need the adaptors. For 50 cents it never hurts to buy a few just in case. They always come in handy for something.
