Hello,
I have a 46" LCD TV that supports 1080p (1920x1080). I want to get a PCI, dual DVI video card for ~$150 to run watch movies on the TV and to connect a 19" LCD monitor. I don't use either LCD for gaming, so I'm mainly focused on performance for watching movies.
I have a Dell 1600sc...
most of the 19" lcd's don't even go up to 1600x1200 :(
that's killing any urge i have to buy another one. 1280 x 1024 is just too small for even a 17" lcd...
The rebate isn't linked from amazon's product page anymore, but the rebate linked above in this thread still looks valid:
http://ak.buy.com/buy_assets/r...-1031kh_50Logitech.pdf
I wonder why amazon took down the rebate link from their page?
office max has some crapola cdr's for $5/50. shipping doubles it, so pick them up at the store...
Spin X 50-Pack CD-R. Price shown reflects $3 Instant Rebate. Limit 1.
Item # 20154235 , Style # 660 000 4174 0
$4.98...
wrong thread? this one doesn't come in an enclosure. assuming you're referring to a USB enclosure... they're generally designed to so you can swap drives in/out.
Dell sponsored FAQ here: http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=pes_faq&message.id=343
And info on the part numbers here (though I think this is for the 400MHz FSB--not sure if it's a different part for the 533 though)...
Bah, I just noticed that the plain drive ($119) now has free shipping. I just ordered it Monday and paid $10 for ground :(. With this deal here, I could get the USB enclosure and the drive for just $35 more than what I paid... Thanks for posting.
not to thread crap, but with projectors dropping in price to this range, what's the advantage to buying a hurkin monster tv these days? i suppose one factor would be that the bulbs on projectors burn out if you're watching tv all the time. just wondering...
Search the past posts for 1600SC. I got one with a 2ghz chip, 2x73gb seagates and more for ~$400 a year ago, if i remember correctly. i would imagine that they've done similar deals since then as well.
I have two to spare. Email me with your anandtech login and the date you joined.
I'll give them out to the first two people that have been here over a year.

They're gone!
Agreed, hconnor2, the original deal is very questionable.
Rumpltzer should create a new thread with the Cathay Pacific deal he posted info on. That could definitely be hot for some people!

Some details/small print for Rumpltzer's deal:

For me, the 30 day advanced approval requirement kills this. That and having to pick the "in between" dates/flights ahead of time. It would be much cooler if you could just go to the airport...
Ha! Your commentary on their crappy site actually encouraged me to check it out. So maybe they have some reverse psychology behind it.
But, yeah, it looks like a 1996 online math course home page or something... :)
stoner87, I don't think you need a 'shipping rebate'. Shipping is free if you pick ground:
[Order Totals]
SubTotal: $29.95
Shipping: $0.00
Handling & Processing Fee: $3.95
Tax: n/a
Grand Total: $33.90
Looks like these aren't available on CC's site.
And then the shipping for the Fluance speakers is $60 for UPS ground... not terrible, considering it's ~75lbs, but that's quite a chunk of change.
Shinsa, the ST118273LC, is a U2 wide SCSI drive. I'm guessing it's more than a few years old. 7.5k speeds and 80MB/s transfer rates were top of the line when it was new.
For $15 shipped, if the drive works, it's not that bad of a deal. Though egay prices are pretty close/same.
tag & rename is pretty handy for editing id3 tags. you can do lookups against freedb.com and allmusic.com to automatically add the data.
it isn't free, but pm me for more info.
