Has anyone figured out a way to GLOBALLY disable Cleartype in Vista?

This is the one thing that annoyed me most about Vista. Hoping for a custom theme that disables CT everywhere.

Best card for 2 year future at 1280x1024?

Toys R Us B&M 50% off clearance sale

I noticed some 26" bikes 1/2-off at my local TRU. Almost talked myself into buying one @ $59.99. Hope I'm not sorry I passed it up. With Fall clearances coming up, I hope to see as good, if not better deals on bikes.

Try relaxing the memory timings in the BIOS. Memory settings set too tight have been the main source of BSOD's during OS instal in my experience. Are they currently set to manual or by SPD?

That should be a Newcastle 3200+ 512k L2 "CG" 4 represents 512k L2 cache 5 would represent 1mb L2 cache AX = CG - the newest and better stepping. I believe all Newcastles are CG stepping

What if you overclock the "old" 3200+ ClawHammer with 1MB L2 cache to 2.2Ghz? Wouldn't it outperform the 3200+ NewCastle? I have never overclocked (or owned) an A64, so I'm not sure if a 3200+ 200Mhz overclock is possible (especially on air). Just a thought

My fans ARE flowing in the right direction. I really think the heat build-up is generated around my 9800XT and the two WD harddrives, which are real close together within the same drive cage. I had to do this because I removed the lower drive cage to help airflow. Thanks for your replies. I...

Does a top exhaust really help? I would be willing to do it, if I knew it would produce results. I'm also willing to look at other cases. Is the wavemaster any better than what I have? (airflow/cooling wise).

I have an full tower Antec SX1040 and seem to be having some airflow problems. I have 2 Panaflos in front ( I removed the lower drive cage that had a fan behind it, so the upper 80mm fan is mounted just like the lower), and 2 80mm Panaflos in the rear. I think the heat that cannot be removed...

netsysadmin I have tried setting-up a notification already, and it seems to work only the first time a full-rotation is submitted. The next run (and all subsequent) of the same full-rotation does not print a report. Any ideas. Thanks

I've looked pretty hard, and cannot find a way to automatically print a job completion/status report after backup completion. I was able to do this in an earlier version. Anyone have suggestions? Also, this is the Windows version, running on Win2k Server. I posted this in the Software forum...
