The fan crapped out on my GF2 video card. It is a small DC brushless fan (12VDC) Its a PSC select w/ a model no. of pc1124510my1n. Does anyone know where I can find one? I would rather find just the fan to put back on the heatsink rather than replace the whole heatsink.
My buddy has a Packard Bell system. The hard drive crashed and instead of installing 95 which was on it, I installed 98SE. Now I cannot change from 16 colors to 256. He was able to use 256 w/ OS 95. I tried a number of different drivers but they all reverted back to 16bit. The system is the PB...
<< You have to complete offers... For example, when you are approved for a credit card, you will get 100 DVD Points. You can then trade in those points for a DVD. >>
^more details from the site. Your explanation is a bit misleading.
<< there are web pages that have guides on replacing your p/s fan. It doesnt matter what fan you put in there just so it is the same size. If it is quieter than you have nothing to worry about. >>
Is that in fact true? I've heard otherwise. It may be quieter but what if it isn't cooling...
I want to quiet down my pc if you can't tell from my HS post. I searched the forums for tips on fan replacement for power supplies but didn't come up with much. What kind of specs do I have to look at when looking for the right fan. I know they are generally 80mm, but what about other details...
Thanks for the info. One more quick question.... How often if at all do you guys clean up and reapply the thermal grease? Do you even do so, or do you do it the first time and thats it?
So will this SVC GC68 keep my 1ghz cool enough if I replaced the fan it comes w/, w/ a panaflo L1? As far as I can tell the fan it comes w/ is a decible less than what my orb is rated.
I have 1ghz athlon w/ a cheap orb fan. I need something quieter. I keep reading that the alpha is the best choice for cooling and less noise. But is this my only option and do I really need it?, especially if I'm not overclocking.
<< yeah, for this deal shipping is free. You have to pay for your own gas though, unless your close enough to walk. >>
Then shouldn't this be listed as B&M seeing as how they have a website?
The deciding factor for me between the g2 and the nikon 5000 was the RAW file ability. Imagine getting a 64mb CF card and shooting full size images. If shooting tifs on either of these cameras they will likely take up about 20mb (maybe a little less). This means 3 images on this 64mb card. Now...
I read somewhere that it is possible to set up two monitors when using graphics programs like photoshop. This way you can have your image full screen on one monitor and all your palettes on the other. Does anyone have any information on how to set this up properly? I'm running 98 Se is it...
<< the only other way I would consider would be to snip the 2-pin plug off the end, then solder the wires to a 3-pin plug, just as if it were untailed.
BTW, this is an incredible deal! I might have to buy some just for the heck of it! Thanx! >>
There is no need to solder the wires. All you...

BTW I usually get these but for some reason did not get the...

<< I'm thinking about finally buying the Canon G2. >>
you must be reading my mind. I just don't know if the 0% makes up for the price difference for ordering it elsewhere on the net.

Quite true, buy.com has it for around $750, but it is on back order.
Here's a little insight for anyone thinking about buying this scanner. If you are only scanning 35mm Slide and Neg. than get the photo. But if you plan on maybe scanning medium format up to 4x5 than by the regular one and get the transparency adapter for it. I made the mistake of thinking the...

Well this may be an insight for some people. About a little over a year ago I bought a 1.3 MP Digital camera for $350 +/- from Sears. I got Sears Protection plan for two years for like $40. Just went to sears and told them I was having problems with the colors. They no longer carry the...
Thanks for all the help. There will be no need for OCing, this system isn't going to be used much except for internet use and word stuff. I am trying to keep it cheap so I think a 1ghz w/ suffice. He really doesn't even need that. I'll look into the ECS board a bit. Sounds like a good price if...
