To hard to discribe in title. Basically hdmi problems please help

Something similar happened to me when I was helping a buddy to setup his home theater, and it ended up that I didn't tighten up one of the HDMI connection. I didn't push the HDMI connection all the way in. I guess my recommendation is to first check all your cables.

Subwoofer issue

Under your 'Sound' settings, if you click on 'Configure' then you should see 'Speaker Setup'. In there you can set your 2.1 or 5.1 setup. I am on a laptop and my soundcard only support stereo so it doesn't so all the options but on my HTPC, it has options for setting 2.1 or 5.1 setup.

It works perfectly fine with me. HDMI from my HTPC to the receiver.

De Facto standard unit testing framework for C/C++?

Not sure if there's a de-facto standard for C/C++ but my organization used cxxtest for unit testing which is an open source unit testing framework for C++. Good luck

Best FREE Erase your HDD?

Like smakme7757 said, low level formatting and permanent delete on SSD is not really possible. I believe SSD uses a different mechanism to mark a location to be free. Anyway, Mr. Google would tell you all the story about it. Aside from DBAN, I believe KillDisk would also do the trick for...

Just looking for a quick sanity check about my PSU

career decision... take a job offer or stay at current job?

The best time to look for job is when you actually have a job. It doesn't sound like you are in a hurry and from your description, it sounds like the job doesn't excite you that much. My 2 cents would be stick with your current employer and jump on something that interest you more. Good luck!

A lot of recruiters are using LinkedIn these days. I would suggest using LinkedIn as an alternative mean to look for jobs other than the typical job sites like Monster and HotJobs. oops! Sorry I derailed from the topic.

I suggest to get into Computer Science and learn web development on the side or minor in web development. I am not sure how far you can go with a web development degree. In fact I don't think a lot of school offers a specific major in web development.

Question for people who work in a retailer

If I purchased something say a jacket in a store with a credit card and lost my receipt then a week later I found out the jacket is on sale. Do you think I can tell them to back track my purchase by looking at my credit card information and purchase date and credit me the differences? Thanks!
