Here are the specific specs:
HP PROLIANT ML110 G4 XEON 3050 2.13G 1GB
2 x 160GB SATA RAID 1
1GB DDR2 SDRAM
I am lobbying against this for an AD/file/print/application/database server for 10 users on the basis that the 110 is junk. Can it do the job? Probably. But I will spend more...
I am looking for a new antivirus product for SMB (less than 100 users). I have been selling and using Symantec corporate and TrendMicro for a while now and am not thrilled with either for various reasons. The best thing I can say about Trend is that remote deployment is easy and phone support...
They have Watchguard Fireboxes. I think they are the smaller X series. This is not my network. It is a buddy's and he is giving me details sparingly.....
I have a set up as listed below:
Main office with Sonicwall doing content filtering. 10 Satellite offices (some T1, ADSL, and cable) with hardware VPN connections to the main office.
What do I need to do to have all Internet traffic run through the Sonicwall at the main office? The goal...
I will be using it at home for a VPN connection to our collocation facility. That was the primary purpose the company got it for me. Being able to play with it and learn is just a bonus for both of us.
I just got an 831 to get me feet wet in the Cisco world and try to learn more of the CLI and about IOS. I am having trouble configuring it. When I try to make changes through the web interface, like the basic DSL setup they are not applied. The Java progress bar just runs for hours. I can...
There are over a hundred sub directories with individual permissions applied to them. I need to know if there is a way to see what the permissions are for all of them, preferably without having to check each file individually.
I think you can initiate the install routine from within the OS and just have it reboot and start the setup routine.
Holding C at boot is the way to get a Mac to boot to CD, but I have come across machines that exhibited the same problems you are seeing.
My client has an AD domain with a 2000 server and a 2003 server. There is a share on the 2000 server that has all user files and folders on it. Due to space constraints, I want to move the share to the 2003 server. When I did some testing on this, I noticed that a lot of data was not copied...
I really appreciate the responses and the time you folks have taken to look over the thread and offer ideas, but all I really want is an OEM that offers ready to run SFF machines that will support 2 3.5" internal drives and RAID 0. I also need a company that can ship product in lots up to 100...
The company I work for is going to use these as online storage at customer sites. We want something pre-manufactured because there is no money in having a bench tech build computers that we are giving away when he can be billing $80 an hour. As for the paint job, we have discussed having them...
I need something mass produced that can be painted aftermarket (or finding a company that can build the boxes and do a custom paint job for me would be sweet). I am not really picky about components. I just need something that can hold at least 2 internal hard drives and do RAID 0. Of course...
After a certain number of errors, the drive will not rip at high speed. Uninstall and reinstall your IDE channel that the drive is on.
You might try poking around here: http://forum.dvddecrypter.com/
I am playing around with my personal site. I have several mpeg files that I would like to offer on the site. They can be accessed as direct downloads. I would also like to give users the option of viewing the file in their browser.
I have found 2 different code snippets that allow the...
The newest version of Ghost (9) is sweet! It allows imaging to IEEE1394 over PCMCIA cards and runs from within Windows. Definitely worth the money.
On another note, I got a free OEM copy of Ghost 2002 with my motherboard. If you built your own system, check out your CD collection......

I don't think these guys have anything that will do it, but maybe a more careful reading will prove me wrong????
I have done the same thing and wound up having to use the drive on a PC and buy a new drive for my Mac.
I found the w3schools site in my Googling yesterday and have actually been going through their CSS tutorial.
It is very aggravating, but I suppose, a necessary evil. Why set a class to center? Why not just align center :P That just makes too much sense.
Many thanks for the advice and links!
I figured I would need to use javascript. Unfotunately, I don't know js. I can kind of tweak other people's scripts to my own needs at times. I tried some of the script sites, but I did not see anything like what I want to do.
I really need buy a book on CSS. I have been avoiding it, but it seems inevitable.
I usually do mostly "back-end" programming that site users don't see. When I start trying to work on "display" pages and layouts my inexperience really comes out :(
You will have to perform an "overburn". I have heard of people fitting over 750 MB on a 700 MB CD.
I have never tried it and do not profess to be an expert. Try Googling on Nero overburn.
I am trying to make my pages on my website show up dynamically based on the size of the users browser window.
I program in ColdFusion (with a lot of help from my project manager).
I think I will need a javascript to get the window size (not the screen resolution). Once I have the window...
Do you have a USB or Ethernet DSL modem?
A few years ago I suffered the same symptoms with a USB DSL modem. Switched to an Ethernet modem and have run fine for over 2 years. (Knock on wood :) )
edited for spelling
I agree that the lack of memory is bad. 512 would be much better.
Spend the extra money on the warranty. With a laptop, it is not a matter of will something go wrong, when will something go wrong?
I repair to a lappy will about cover the cost of the 3 year warranty.
pyonir,
Many thanks! That will work great.
Guys I appreciate your wanrings, but I highly doubt that MLB or the Diamondbacks are going to swoop down upon me for making a team picture of my 4, 5, & 6 year old T-ballers and using their logo for a picture I am GIVING to the parents. I doubt...
I once again turn to Anandtech. I need a decent quality shot of the Diamondbacks logo for our T-ball pictures.
Vector art would be best, but beggars can't be choosers.
Many thanks!
