I saw your post and using WPCREDIT for the Gigabyte 7dxr but I am completely lost on how to use WPCREDIT. Is there an easy way of doing this or do I need to learn how to use the registers. My cpu is running 50c so any help would be great. Thanx in advance.
I have the board now just waiting 2 more days for the cpu. The documention is excellent, far better than I have had before from the other major players such as ASUS, Abit and MSI. The retail package just oozes quailty so I can wait to get the board running and open up the throttle :)
Well the gigabyte is available in in the UK now and we are last to get any new boards so you guys across the pond should be getting a flood of them very soon. I have put my board together this evening and will tweak and play tomorrow, then post some results here.
Registered DDR is so cheap now that it is not a problem to get it instead if you are buying your first DDR system. For the guys moving across from another DDR board this is a real pain if you want to use all 3 slots :(
All latop screens use proprietry vga connectors and I doubt if you could make a custom connector let alone buy one I am afraid :( Best to sell it for parts or grab a nother broken one off an auction site to get it running.
If you don't have the cash you could get it repaired quite cheaply. Sounds like a cap has gone and shouldn't cost too much for someone to repair for you.
Unfortuatly it looks like you need a seperation pad kit. It sounds like your pad is completely worn and is not seprating the paper properly. I fix this model on a regualr basis and it is not a repair you can do your self. Might be looking at £30+ ($50) if it turns out to be the pad to get it...
Ok, I have the black (charcoal) Antec case, it is a stunning looking case. I think the Antec charcoal black is far easier on the eye than the stealth black which gives it a cheap IBM aptiva look IMO.
I got the case yesterday and put the Enermax in it. The Enermax is just pure quality and was well worth the cash. The Antec PSU is actually quite decent but is not really useful for overclockers and hobbyists due the short cable and lack of extra moldex connectors.
Word out of Taiwan is the KG7 could be as late as August/September, if that is true the race will aready be over. Once the Gigabyte raid board hits the streets everwhere in the next 2-3 weeks it will swallow up a huge number of Abit's customers who have been waiting a very long time.
Thanx for the reply MrHelpful, I will look into the MSI board right now. If anyone has a different opinion or any feedback on this board your comments we be great.
I am going to buy a 266mhx fsb tbird in the next few days and I have already ordered 512mb of pc2100 ddr ram from Crucial. I am uncertain of which DDR motherboard to go for, there is a real lack of decent reviews so far and there does not seem to be one clear cut winner. So, could anyone with a...
