    You'll find Windows more appropriate for your uses than Linux at the moment. However, if you do install Linux, you run the risk of reprioritizing your uses to better suit your Linux install. (and thus wont need Windows anymore at all) ;)

    Of course the Apple looks cleaner than the PC they show. It doesn't have as many components in it, or as many spots to put them. The Apple has only 1 CD ROM bay/drive, no floppy, no chassis that could hold a floppy, and they hid the hard drive chassis somewhere behind the 'G5' boxes there...

    Are you using the 1.4 final ISO? (which architecture? i686, or AthlonXP?) If you are using 1.4 final and i686, then install KDE from GRP (in the docs). Otherwise, emerge fluxbox for now, and when you go to bed/work, emerge kde.
