    thanks for the help everyone, really appreciate it! thanks btcomm1, i found the jumper on the motherboard from your link and cleared the CMOS. Tried to boot up, got repeating beeps.. so i put the RAM back in, then 1 long beep and 2 short beeps. Found online it means there's a video adapter...

    so i just tried taking out the video card, then video card and RAM out o the mother board, and turned computer on, and still no beeps. motherboard or cpu possibly dead?

    is there any difference tho that theyre on exchange? ive never messed with exchange before.. would all i have to do on their new computer is import the pst file i backed up and also set up their email account to connect to the exchange server and would that be it? thanks
