Why do free market capitalists support the RIAA?

An artist should still be able to get paid without having to do live performances (although maybe a lesser amount) if their work is popular for private use. Some musical genres dont lend themselves well to live performance (electronic music, etc), many of my favorite artists have never toured...

Samsung 40" 1080p LCD HDTV with Integrated ATSC Tuner

I bought a Samsung 40" LCD with almost identical specs but NO HDTV tuner back around xmas for $1400. This deal looks frustratingly hot to me. It makes an excellent PC monitor and gets my thumbs up :)

Enough Horsepower for 1920*1080P?

Factory OC'ed 7800GTs artifacts

Just got my Leadtek 7800gt yesterday. Artifacts like crazy with out of the box settings. As far as I know, there is no updated BIOS from Leadtek to fix this (yet). I'm annoyed, and I'm probably gonna have to RMA the card :|

I recently picked up the Logitech Z-340's for a second PC. For $50, they arent bad. However, my other speakers (Cambridge Microworks) had much cleaner/deeper bass, and a more natural sounding midrange. If I recall, there was a post a while back about these being sold at the Creative website...

HalfLife Lockups

Try switching to AGP 1x, if you havent already. I have a very similar rig, and this solved the problem for me. The performance hit was not noticeable, to my eyes. Hope this helps.

I've narrowed my problems down to AGP2x (the new Enermax PSU, while a lovely component, didnt fix this issue after all). Works fine for hours on end in 1x, but locks up in 2x. Annoying as this problem is, I can actually play Half Life at 1280x1024 without any framerate problems in AGP1x, so...

I'd hold off for like a month or two... check out www.gilat2home.com Gilat will soon be offering 2-way satellite service (via MSN/Radio Shack), with rumored speeds of 1 meg down/200k up. Quite a bit faster than the current DirecPC offerings.

Hm, tried disabling SuperBypass too, but it didnt change anything over here. I think I'll just order an Enermax too, and see what happens. Even if it turns out that power is not the problem, I'll still feel better knowing that I have one less "old" device in my system.

What are the signs that you are overloading your power supply?
