I recently purchased a Dell Studio XPS from the dell outlet for $1764 after tax and shipping.
Configured with:
Core 940
12GB tri channel memory
Vista Ultimate
Blu-ray burner
DVD ROM
1TB Hard drive
512MB ATI 4850
Late last night I was able to grab another Dell Studio XPS from the...
My uncle just purchased a new Core 2 Duo laptop with 2 gigs of ram and Vista Home Premium. For wireless connectivity, the laptop is equipped with the Intel 3945ABG wireless mini card. The laptop is having issues connecting to wireless hotspots in range. When we tried to log-in, the network...
Why would configuring the 9300 with a smaller hard drive allow one to put in an aftermarket hd later on?
Also, can the 'Transcend 1GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM' memory from new egg be used on the 9300 in dual channel configuration? thanks.
My girlfriend's computer suffered the infamous PSU failure on her dell dimension 4600 that is about 1.5 years old. A few days ago the computer just didn't want to turn on. After I browsed the dell forums I found almost 100 people complaining about the exact same problem around the same time...
Really.. I thought the higher the frequency, the better??? So it is actually best to get a 900MHz phone right now? I need to get a new cordless phone because the cordless I have now is super duper crappy.. It has pathetic range and massive interference. It is actually a Panasonic 2.4Ghz...
I just purchased a bfg 6800gt oc for $424.00 from bestbuy.com. I just noticed that the x800xt is selling for about $455. Would it be wise to return the 6800gt and get the x800xt? How much better is it? thanks
My local bestbuy has the bfg 6800gt oc in stock for $399.99 plus tax. Should I invest in this card or can I get a better card for equal or lesser price? I'm torn.
***Nevermind.. I decided to buy it and give it a try.
The stock psu is rated 250w but I hear that Dell rates their psu's very conservatively. Pc power and cooling does sell a 425w psu for dell but it is too expensive ($150).
I'm sorry for the confusion. I meant th evga 6800 limited edition (underclocked ultra) version. I am just wondering if the power consumption is too much for my dell 400sc.
Has anyone had success running the EVGA 6800 LE in the Dell Poweredge 400sc. I am thinking about getting this card, but I'm afraid it may not run right. What do you guys think? It is a p4 2.8C, 1Gig pc3200, 1 cdrw, 1 dvdrw, 200GB HD and 40GB HD.
FYI: An updated bios for the Dell PowerEdge 400SC has been released today 9/20/04 in case anyone is interested..

Thanks for the replies. I decided to go with the Logitech z-2200 from Dell. It was 10% off plus Logitech is offering a $50 mail-in rebate for the speakers... so I got a good deal.
Can anyone recommend the best 2.1 PC speakers for under $99?.. I was looking at the selections at Circuit City and Best Buy and I can't decide.

I have a 2.4GHz p4 northwood with the oem heatsink/fan. Some of the blades of the fan broke off so now when it spins it makes a super loud annoying sound. So i'm thinkg about going to bestbuy or circuit city to replace the fan. Can any general cpu fan fit? and is there a certain size I need to...

I have a dell dimension 4600 with a 120GB Seagate serial ata drive and all windows updates....Window's device manager reports the drive as running at udma 5 (ata100 speed) and the hdtach benchmark is showing burst rates of a drive that is set at ata100. I thought that serial ata drives were...
Hi, Thanks for the reply. When you say that the Toshiba's tend to have a more saturated picture than JVC's.. Does that mean it is worse or better than the jvc =) I will take ur advice and compare them in person.
I'm in the market for a new tv for my bedroom. I'm interested in the 27in flat crt televisions. After researching for a while, i've narrowed down to two tv's. They are the Toshiba 27AF43 and the JVC AV-27FA44. They both are similarly priced which makes it a tough decision. Which one should i get...
I have an epox 4bda2+ (i845) motherboard with a p4-1.6GHz @ 2.13Ghz. I initially had the system with Muhskin PC2700 256MB running at DDR354. The system was running for about a year with no problems. Then I decided i needed some more memory. Since the motherboard only has 2 ddr slots, I decided...
I bought a Dell p991 flat trinitron monitor last year thanks to the hot deals forum for $289. Anyway, it's been acting up the past few weeks. It would experience a lot of noise and flicker problems. It supposedly has a 3 year warranty on it, so i called dell and they agreed to send me a...

I just picked up a lexmark z23 printer from target for only $24.98. When i saw the price, was like wow...there must be something wrong with this printer. Now i haven't opened the box yet. I'm wondering if i should keep it or return it. I checked out some user reviews of the printer and they are...
Thank u people for the replies. I am sorry and apologize to everyone for sounding upset. I believe it is the cpu after running a bunch of tests. Memtest86 reports no errors... and i have even tried setting the memory to the least aggressive timings. I have the Epox 4bda+2 motherboard. I've been...
You are talking to me like i'm a rookie or something. I build computers for a living. It is definitely cpu related. I have pc2700 memory running at 266mhz. I have run memtest86 and all is fine. The computer has been running great for months.. i've periodically format and install windows. I keep...
