I am getting NetBus warning on Norton Internet Security. any ideas?

I am getting NetBus warning on Norton Internet Security. any ideas?

I don't see how I could be infected, and sometimes 10 times in one minute I get blocked netbus trojans, according to NIS. I'm glad I have this up, I wonder what's going on.

My Toshiba 12x DVD Just Arrived.. Now WHAT???? ** confused **

gotmilk, I'm pretty sure you're on the right track and have the right ideas, you should have nothing to worry about. If you have DMA enabled on all the drives and none of them mind, it should all be good. I would keep the hard drives together and the CD/DVD together.

Firstly.. Are any of your components overclocked? Secondly, have you made absolutely sure that all your jumpers are set correctly on your motherboard and peripherals? Make absolutely sure of that. Then take a look on your motherboard CD and install any drivers that you think could be...

How dense is information stored by lasers compared to magnetic technology?

How do I keep other people off a 98se computer? 1 more question.

Don't use passwords for users in Win9x, it's completely useless. You can just press the ESC button and it boots up like normal.

OK guys, I'm having serious FPS problems here...

Actually if you have too much then the system can't cache it anymore or something, and can result in slow downs, depending on the OS too...

Fujitsu or Samsung hard drive

Get a Maxtor, very cheap and much faster. But if you insist, either Fujitsu or Samsung will satisfy whoever you need satisfied. They both make good quiet slow drives. :)

How bad is cheap RAM?

Hey that is insanely cheap, just buy it and see how it works, if it doesn't work well return it! Jesus.. I bought my 256MB for $120cdn, that is 512 for nearly the same price!

Mookow (:P) I think you misinterpreted something. He wants to know if his PC133 will do 150, not if his PC150 will do 133. I have 133 at 100 right now, everyone knows higher ones can go LOWER, but not all lower ones will go higher... I would go for it and see if it's stable. If everything...

Netscape 6...Where can i download the entire browser so that i can put it on CD?

abra: Just download the setup file and install it. You can choose to keep install files on HD, that's what I did. If you don't find the right thing (I'm sure you did though) I'll send it to you. edit: PM/email me if you need it though, cuz I'm not checking back here.

I like these 80min/700MB cds! BTW.. how is it possible that I burned a CD in 7 minutes?

I have the HP CD-Writer 9150 (that's what it says on the box, but on the unit and on the computer it says cd-writer 9100 series). Anyway in any case it is an 8x/4x/32x write/rewrite/read respectively. Burning a CD in 7:57 precisely.. would be more like 8.8x would it not? The actual thing...

Why are black components so expensive?

I find the black computers look a lot cooler. It's too bad they're more expensive. I wonder why everyone didn't move to black ones instead of staying at white? Weird. Cool choice on moving to black equipment though!

Win2K woes or Hardware failure????

Something is making the system unstable. You have an odd amount of ram. That could be part of the problem, but it could also be the power supply. It'd be easier to mess around with the ram just to eliminate that possibility. If it isn't the memory, try switching power supplies.

Difference between 256 and 320MB ram?

I got back a 64 that I lent out to my friend for a while, so now I have 320 as opposed to just 256. Should I keep it like this? It's all running PC100 (the 64 is PC66 is and the 256 is PC133).
