I haven't run any benchmarks on my Ti4200 yet but, in moving from playing Morrowind with a KyroII to the Ti4200, I have seen remarkable improvement. The higher framerates have smoothed it out considerably (playing in 1024x768) and the pixel shading turned the water effects into something...

Gainward ti4200 instock/preorder!? No pictures or details though!

According to the FedEx tracking number from Newegg, my Ti4200 was just delivered to my home. I don't know if I can restrain myself from bolting away from work early. :)

I appreciate your advice, Rogue'. I'll start slowly stepping up the SoftMenu settings and see what I can get out of my AXIA, when I get home from work. It's got a good HSF and I used Thermal Silver. I'll let you know how it works out.

Alien: You won't be disappointed with the Santa Cruz. It has what amounts to an "MP3 accelerator" on board, a DSP so to speak. My mp3's sound great and the Santa Cruz doesn't use quite as many clock cycles as your old MX300 currently does. ~jd

Alien- I'm a lot like you, in that I tend to support the underdog manufacturers over the big names. Like you, I owned an MX300, until it died and I replaced it with a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz instead of an SBLive. I've gone with AMD over Intel ever since I upgraded from my 486DX4/100 years...
