Re-sizing the explorer window

When you resize the window, hold down the Ctrl key and then close it. From then on, any new windows should open at that size.

Can someone post an ISO of the Audigy driver disc? I lost mine. A ZIP of the files on it would be fine too.

Nope, for some reason Creative has only posted the driver update, which requires that the original drivers be installed first. Dumb. Got your e-mail GreenGecko, thanks. It would be great if you could send the files to me :)

It might have some different software on it, but all I need from it are the drivers. Technically, I think the actual cards are the same, so the drivers should be the same.

I can't find my driver disc for my Audigy Gamer. Creative, the geniuses that they are, have seen fit to only post the driver update files for WinXP on their web site, and not the files from the original disc. Can someone rip an ISO for me, or zip up the files on the disc? You can e-mail it to me...

Calling all P4T-E owners!!

I run XP with the included drivers. When I installed Intel's App Accelerator, it wouldn't let me enable DMA, and hdd access was noticeably slower. Went back to the old drivers and everything was fine.

New hard drive makes clunking sound. Trouble?

I have two new drives installed in the PC I just built, a Maxtor D740X 80G and a Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 60G. I obviously can't tell which one is making the noise since they're both installed in the same PC and running simultaneously, but every once in a while I hear this fairly loud "thunk."...

As I said, I tried it outside of the case and it didn't work. Everything in the new comp fired up though when I put the 20-pin connector into my other motherboard.

How do you get rid of jaggies in photoshop?

Upping the resolution isn't the solution; you simply need to have the "Anti-aliased" box checked in the Marquee Options window. If you're building these images strictly for web use, then 72 dpi is right where you want to be.

Poll: How often do you have to shave?

I need to shave every day, but up until recently I only shaved every other day (sensitive skin). I just bought a shaving mirror for my shower though, and now shaving is a lot smoother, so I can shave every day.

How come there are files saved as "hs~XXX.html" in HomeSite?

PS2 owners...have any of you experienced any problems with the Sony controllers?

Netscape or Internet Explorer For New Computer?

Even though many think Microsoft is evil, you can't deny that IE5 is the best browser out there right now in terms of speed and compatibility. I was a Netscape user for years before switching to IE, and I was really hoping that Netscape would catch up with version 6, but they still lag behind.

What version of Illustrator are you running? Illustrator really isn't the most web-friendly program; it's more for print usage, being primarily a vector graphics tool. If you have the means to get/use Illustrator, I would assume you could get your hands on a copy of Photoshop as well. Why not...

Preparing my hard drive for W2K.

Provided everything is set up properly, and you boot from the Win2k CD, Windows should see your drive and allow you to partition and format it right from setup. Pretty easy and self-explanatory. Why one huge partition, if I may ask? Why not make at least a second small partition for backing up...

Who's using a dual-monitor setup?

If the guy's having that many freaky problems, I seriously doubt it's all related to having dual monitors. I started out with an ATI Xpert 98 PCI as my secondary display, but had so many problems in Win2k that I gave up on it. Then I got a G200 from uBid for $63 (quite a bargain at the time)...
