I ended up getting an Asrock 939 Dual-SATA2 on the recomendation of two friends. Does anyone have knowledge of this board and if so I would appreciate any input on the board. Thanks people. :-)

Yes my idle temp is around 41c and load temp is goes around 44c alway the up to 51c. I had looked around on Intel's site but could not find any good info on this and was not sure what the range for operating temps should be. Thank you for the reply. Do you know what the recommended operating...

Via 694 chipset

I put the board in and reloaded my Windows XP and then a friend tried to overclock this 1 Ghz. PIII and all we could get was about 1.06. Could someone teach me what I need to do to get more out of this processor and system? I am running 512 of Crucial CL-2 Ram and would like to get that 1.4 Ghz...

Via 694 chipset

Mine will only support 3 USB ports and the PC to PC connection which I am not sure I like. I would rather have the extra USB port. I got it off NewEgg and it was advertised as having 4 USB ports but it only has 3. After contacting MSI I found out they make two models of this board, one supports...

Temperatures

I have a CoolerMaster fan that is rated for 27.5 of air flow and I when I checked the Cmos under PC Health, my temps were 35 C system temp and 50 C CPU temp? These are the two readings it gives me and are these ok? Why is there a system temp and a CPU temp? I appreciate your assistance...

sudden reboots after 1 month rock-solid

Thanks for the reply Trammer but when I tried to install the drivers that came with this scanner, XP doesn't recognize them.That is why I needed a driver that will be recognized.

Is the EPOX EP-8K7A+ a good motherboard?

:D Man I just love my rig so far. It is so fast. I am used to using PIII'S 1GHZ. on T1 lines at Texas A&M Texarkana, where I go to school and mine seems as fast as that junk they have there. I am a real happy camper now..... Glad you like yours as well. Peace...

Iwill recall

I am not sure. I just know he bought a 1.2 GHZ. Athlon and he said an Iwill board. I was just on the forum today checking out my new system and so far I love it. I bought a 1GHZ. Athlon and a Epox 8kTA3 board and it went in so easy it was unreal. So far very stable as well.

Is the EPOX EP-8K7A+ a good motherboard?

I just built a new system today with a 1Gig Athlon 266 with the Epox 8kta3 and everything went together smooth and running real good. A friend of mine that recomended this board said him and six other people he knew all have had the same results. No problems......
