Does anyone have a planar LCD display?

Ive heard nothing but good things about this monitor. If you have one how does it preform in games and DVD movies? It sounds like it would be a great college monitor.

I would be running it with a Geforce 3 for sure, however it would most likely be an analog connector.

Cutting IDE cables?

I tried cutting the extra wire off on a floppy drive. It didnt work. So try it on a spare set first. IDE cables may be different due to the lack of a twist near one of the connectors.

High i just built my new computer amd 1.4 with a pioneer 106s dvd drive. I was told that the video qualitiy would be great. however, the video is not smooth and is jumpy at times. It mentioned somewhere to change to dma mode. what does this mean. I could use some help here. Oh and im using...

Im about to go to college and desk space is a premium. I bought a 19" crt but i think its gonna be too large. I am a fairly heavy gamer (quake 3 Unreal, Tribes, mainly FPS games). Everyone says thatLCDS are incredibly bad for gaming, but there has to be some out there that can keep up...

Ill be using it for graphics, games and programming mainly. I like the way the flat screen looks compared with the slightly curved. I would like the dimensions to be under 18.5" in HWD.

The reason i was suggesting the liyama visionmaster 450 was primarily the size of the monitor. It is barely larger than standard 17" monitors. I do want a high quality monitor and am willing to pay up to 450 bucks but the less i spend would be better. If I spend less i will probably buy...
