Partitioning an 80gig into several drives..

What is probably the longest amount of time you have stayed at your computer for?

Only a few hours tops.. i like to drink coffee while im on the computer playing or working. Hence, drinking will cause me to need to ease my bladder every few hours. :)

Upgrade of the year? Tualatin Celeron 1.2

You cant because the new range needs a different chipset to work with. Basically to upgrade a Celeron 1.2 you need a new mobo, so it aint much of a upgrade choice for now.. however, i hear they are working on adapters.. but for a slot 1 mobo.. i think you are out of luck. Might as well...

Whats with this Radeon 7000 and Radeon 7200?

They aren't new video cards, just renamed versions of the Radeon. The naming is to make things simpler, anything with 7 means directx 7 .. and 8.. well you guessed it.

Ah...... WHERE ARE MY CD-DRIVES!! they are GONE!!

Is this related to the Windows 98 issue of not displaying cdrom drives? Its usually to do with the slow spin up delay.. and opening my computer/explorer. It shows up after clicking "refresh" though.. otherwise, im lacking in XP knowledge, so i cant help ya there. Besides, i wont upgrade to XP...

If you could afford both then go for the faster one. Either way, burning that fast, you better not touch your system while it's burning.. else its gonna be Buffer Under Runs. Especially if you're burning a cd, as most cdroms cant maintain high speed.. they are only fast on the outer tracks...
