dualboot and hibernate

i'm havin dualboot 2 win2k pro... when i hibernate it skips the dualboot menu and straight into resuming hibernation...anyone knows why is this so?

highpoint replied... problem cannot be solved yet...they will try to fix it in future bios and driver versions...

system: epox8k7a+ with HPT370(A), 2x256mb crucial, creative tnt2 ultra, sblive value, maxtor plus60 30gb and western digital 15gb harddisks on highpoint port masters, win2000 pro, 8k7a ver1711 bios. problems with using highpoint ver1.11.0512 and also ver1.11.0612 drivers: skippy/jerky mouse...

poor epox and highpoint!!!!!

maxtor and epox

problem finally solved...its the highpoint driver... although i'm using 370A with latest driver it gives me trouble! so i used driver ver1.03 which epox said it can't be used for 370A....hahahah ....but it worked for me!;)

its 300w psu;) so it shouldnt be the problem... my guess is highpoint port.... i wonder if i shift both hdd to normal ide...how's performance like? then set the following... primary master: maxtor ata100 primary slave: western digital ata66 secondary master: sony 52x cdrom secondary slave...

arhhhh...i'm really desperate now...still cant find whats wrong... tested on both hdd...still same program... so till now all i can say is not mouse, hdd problem....i don't think its bios or drivers problem... i'm suspecting highpoint raid port on epox... could it be the culprit...

instructions i get from epox...install raid port driver before installing win2k... i'm gonna test my other western digital hdd which's also on raid port...gonna install win2k in it...if no problems encountered will mean that new maxtor's defective and i dun think i can trust maxtor anymore

jerk only when there's hdd activity....it comes together with that loud irritating seeking noise of maxtor.... sian...i can't figure out the problem yet

i'm using diamondmax 60plus 7200rpm western-d also 7200rpm...as compared it's much more noisy... will it be due to they are too close together? or screws too tight?

yes...it's with win2k sp2 all ide devices are detected as scsi...real funny... is it because of using this raid port of epox.. another thing I noticed - its more noisy than my western digital... could it be hardware problem? this western-d is stacked above maxtor in enlight casing...used all...

i cannot enable dma...they are all detected as scsi devices although they are all ide.... btw i have 2 hdd on epox raid port...maxtor and western digital what could be the problem?

I have a "great" time installing this alpha cooler...hehee the clip is real hard to install! I used almost all my strength to get the clips hooked on thunderbird and wonder if I have damaged the chip.... Are that any systoms of a damaged amd chip? How can I make sure that cooler is...

for ddr ram settings... in manual it's default to auto so does it mean 8883723? i'm using crucial 512mb PC2100 any recommends for setting? i need a very stable system...so should i leave it as default?

<< Very thorough Sparehead! I take it you're not a fan of the 8k7a1607 bios? In any case, just to nitpick (as I always do), when you said "Only the drivers necessary for your board will install", even though you were referring to AMD's driver sets, I believe the 4in1's from VIA will...

I DO NOT intend to overclock...and how do I set the jumpers? The manual for jumper settings isn't really clear I'm using epox 8K7a+ with thunderbird 1.13 266mhz... so should I change the JCLK1 CPU Clock Select which is 1-2(default) to 2-3? what other jumpers do I need to set?
