Videopho, I'm not really familiar with the dell 2005fpw, but from what I've read, it seems like it is a high-end *COMPUTER* LCD monitor that is optimized for use with computer TV graphics cards. So is it safe to assume that I can get nearly the same 1080i signal on my "normal" computer 19" LCD...
bump for:
UglyWolf or anyone who has this receiver: when you use this HDTV receiver with the included DVI-VGA cable to connect to a regular computer CRT monitor/LCD - do you really get a HDTV-like picture on the monitor?
I already have an ATI HDTV Wonder connected to my computer LCD...

Thanks OP for the original deal and all the other responders that clarified the plan - definitely gives me an idea of what to do now: I will buy the two cards for $50 and just wait to activate the 2nd one near the 1st card's 90 day expiry.
I only intended to use the phone in emergencies...
Dumb n00b question: I just bought the VM K9 phone from BB for $39 last week. If I buy the two $30 cards, can I activate one now and then wait just before the 90 days expire on it and then activate the 2nd card for the following 90 days?
I also heard that the "spend $60 before May to keep...
I finally got a PCMCIA Firewire card to work. Of course, as suspected, it had to be a Compaq branded card to get my WD 120GB external hard drive recognized Specifically, it was a Compaq 2-port PCMCIA Cardbus, Model CPQFWCB which was $49.99 at Microcenter - not on sale. I had tried a SIIG 2-port...
Thanks mrbass for all the news. Also, I really like the Linux tips and Windows freeware recommendations on your website. I've been using Linux for awhile, but found that you had some tips that I had never heard before and they were all in a nice, concise style on the webpage!
Good job.
:)
pxc - can you give us the "compatible media" that you've had the best luck with? I think that the OMax Memorex 25 pack DVD+Rs are $24.99 after instant rebate - are those OK?
TIA.
Opened up the package - the 180339XXXXXXX serial number worked for me = 9600 PRO with a fan on the card. Radeon 9600 Pro 128M, but as another poster said, no cables at all for the DVI or S-Video.
Got one for me and one for a friend at BB - Oak Park Mall in Overland Park, KS. One left as of 12:00 noon with the right S/N = 180339XXXXXX-XX. Thanks for the deal OP.
Or if you're lucky enough to have a credit card that gives double the manufacturer's warranty period up to a year, then use that credit card to extend...
Just a thought for those who never use that feature of their cards. I usually make a copy of the manufacturer's warranty and the receipt...
The cashier called the manager over to ask for a override on the price of the 8MB SE drive to make it $149.99. I wasn't comfortable about the substitution of a 8MB cache SE drive for a 2MB cache model. The cashier asked the manager if he needed the "Weekly Ad Planner for April 27, 2003" for...
OfficeMax substituted the 8MB model for the 2MB model, but the rebate receipt did not print out for the 8MB cache model. I went to the next OfficeMax and they had lots of 2 MB cache models left. Again, the rebate receipt did not print.
Anyone else have the same thing happen to them?
Also, I...
I know that many people have issues with Khypermedia brand media - but the 10 pack DVD+RW for $14.99 (NO REBATES!) works GREAT in my Memorex DVD+RW at 2.4x. I've already cut 15 DVDs without any problems.
If anyone else is using the Memorex DVD+RW drive, can you recommend a manufacturer and...
You won't get the full BVG of $65 because there will be a AMEX credit adjustment to the original sales receipt - ie., the $47 IR for the Sunday adjustment - so BVG will only get you
$52.99 ($99.99 - $47 IR adjustment on Sunday)
- $34.99
--------------
$18.00 for the BVG...
The best way to deal with the clerk who struggles to verify if your item qualifies, is to say:
"Could you please try to scan the coupon in and see if the register accepts it?"
On my five attempts where the clerk questioned whether the coupon could be applied, the register...
I bought three of these cases today - used the 10% off on one of them. Two of the cases DID not have the 2 front USB ports and the firewire. THE OTHER case had a sticker that read:
Free Upgrade! Now comes with 2 USB ports + 1 Firewire Front ports + a washable air filter...
I went to the Tivo website - and it stil says $12.95 monthly, $249 lifetime. Is this just for DirectTv with Tivo - or just for the standalone Tivo, too?
http://www.tivo.com/3.0.asp
SpongeBobPalmBay, were you paying $12.95 before - and the new bill for January $5?
Excuse the dumb...
I got the same message that everyone else did about the difference between billing and shippping addreses even though I had done this before. I sent them an email message that I had added a secondary billing address (my shippping address) to my credit card as they had requested.
Well, I guess...
Got my drive today from UPS after receiving a credit back to my credit card - total $107 for the drive.
It was a P6Y3 = 8MB cache !! Thanks for the HOTDEAL SliderBob! :)
Well, I did have success:
1) Ordered drive online for instore pickup on Sunday 7:00PM (first day of the "BB reaction to CompUSA $99 price w/rebates") - online price was $180.
2) Received email notice that drive price was adjusted to $99.99 store price minutes later (still Sunday night).
3)...
Hey Slag! Does DVDXCopy really allow you to copy from a commercial DVD to blank DVD? And does it also create VCDs/SVCDs with the same quality as all the steps you have to use with TMPGenc and/or CCE Lite?
Inquiring minds would like to know.... :)
Thanks in advance for answering.

Thanks Slag - yes, "up north" is the wild wild west here in KC. I called up the BB Website CSR and they gave me a case number to adjust the price of the two drives I ordered online for in-store pickup to the NEW order that will ship directly to me.
That is:
1. Ordered two drives online for...
My experiences: went to one BB store that was right across the street from CompUSA - and those BB 120GB drives were out of stock, but the shelf tags were on display for $99.99. CSR asked if he could help me - I said "Yes, got any more of those 120GB drives for $99?". He said "No, but come back...
Hi Everyone - I just started adding disk drives to my GW 6400 and started looking for rails - same as everyone else! I saw this thread and remembered that someone had done a do-it-yourself guide for making rails. After an hour of searching my old emails, I found it. For the life of me, I...
