Do they still make cpu fans with 2-pin connectors?

My friend has an old K6-2 350MHz whose cpu fan is broken. The fan is a 50mm MO brand, model number N5010B1-8, and I can't find anything about this fan on the internet. It connects to the motherboard via a 2-pin power connector, which I've never seen before. Do they sell fans like this? Or...

Weight lifting: My left arm is smaller and weaker than the right arm. What to do?

To strengthen your left bicep, try doing single dumbbell curls on an incline bench. This isolates your left bicep and forearm, so you're not using your back to lift the weights. For your left tricep, lie flat on your back with a dumbbell in your left hand. Extend your arm straight in the...

    Some questions........

1.) The default multiplier is 10. All type "C" Athlons run at 133 MHz Front side bus, so 133 x 10 = 1330 MHz = 1.33 GHz. And the Epox 8k7a board allows you to increase the multiplier by 0.5 increments 2.) This depends on your chip. Some chips overclock better than others. Its...

    Any roller blades experts here?

Whoa...since she is a beginner, I would recommend 72 mm wheels. Most beginner skates have 72 mm wheels. Even the ones I use are 72 mm, and I'm an intermediate skater. 72mm wheels are also easiest (and cheapest) to find replacement wheels for. Basically the physics are the larger the wheel...

Should I turn off my AC during the day?

I have always wondered which saves more electricity: Turning off the AC during the day (jacking it up to 90 F)and running for a few hours straight after I get home from work. or Leave the AC at about 80 F and have it come on intermittently while I am away. By the way the temperature...

Antec SX830 300W or SX840 400W that is the question?

Depends what you are putting into your system, really. My SX830's Antec PP303X power supply powers 1 Hard drive, 1 DVD-ROM, 1 CD-RW, and 2 case fans just fine. If you have enough money, just play it safe and get the SX840.

    AYHJA overclocking..

Ok, before you start overclocking, install all the hardware you intend to use (Network cards, sound cards, etc). There's no point in overclocking a barebone system and not be able to use all of your hardware. Do this at the default multiplier+FSB, which should be 10 x 133. Make sure you...

HSF for tbird 1.4ghz , BEST AND QUIETEST

There is no best HSF. Swiftech MC462A, Thermalright SK6, OCZ Gladiator, Millenium Glaciator, and the Taisol CGK760092 are among the favorites. As far as fans go, cooling is inversely proportional to the loudness. The more air you move, the louder it will be. Check KDComputers or Plycon. And...

The Arctic Silver site tells you not to use WD-40 when cleaning your HSF. Never use any oil or petroleum based cleaners (WD-40, citrus based grease removers and many automotive degreasers) on the base of a heatsink. The oil, which is engineered to not evaporate, will fill in the microscopic...

    Should I run 1.33 @ 1.80 Vcore or 1.4 @ 1.90?

My temps are the same as yours. Taisol 760 HSF Antec PP303X DDR Voltage is at +0.1 (manufacturer's default) <--- should I increase this? I'm running at 10 x 140. I don't see a jumper or any setting in BIOS to change the I/O Voltage.

    Should I run 1.33 @ 1.80 Vcore or 1.4 @ 1.90?

What is your opinion? My computer is stable at 1.4, but I need to bump up the Vcore to +0.1 at 1.4. Will 1.90V Vcore significantly shorten the life of my cpu? The temp difference only differs by a few degrees for the different configurations, so the temperature is not a factor. Also, is...

    Whats wrong with this picture???

A lot of people have trouble overclocking their FSB with a 3com Network card, so you might want to watch out for that if you plan to overclock. My SMC EZNET 10/100 card does 140 FSB fine, and from what I've heard, Linksys cards are good for overclocking too.

That is the setup that about 75% of Anandtechers (that use DDR) have, so you can't really go wrong with that. If you ever have problems, you can always find answers on the forum. Personally I have your same setup, but with a 1.2 instead of 1.33

    DDR voltage and Vcore voltage

I'm no expert at overclocking, but for the sake of giving you an answer, yes, you need to increase your Vcore. You can also try lowering your multiplier. I had to increase my Vcore to 1.90V to get my 1.2 T-Bird to run at 1.4 (10x140). I didn't have to touch DDR though.

When overclocking, how much voltage should I add per MHz increase?

When overclocking, how much voltage should I add per MHz increase?

I have set up my computer and everything is running stable (I guess). So now I am ready to overclock it. I intend to increase the FSB voltage little by little, but I am not sure how much voltage to add to accomodate. Right now my VCore measures at 1.82 V. I am running a 1.2 Athlon TBird AXIA...
