What's up with all the laptops coming out with huge low-res screens? My current laptop (14.1") is 1440x900... 1366x768 just doesn't seem like enough pixels to work with on that size a screen.

Looks like a nice board... from what I've heard HDMI's video interface is the same as DVI, so would an HDMI->DVI cable work to drive a normal 20" LCD (1680x1050)?

These say they're capable of recording too... any comment on the recording quality? Seems like it'd be a pretty cheap 2GB recorder alone. Throw in mp3 playback, and it still seems like a deal with a crappy UI.

Whatever you do, do not turn it on in 230. You'll likely fry your P/S and possibly components along with it. If it's really not enough power, try running your system as bare as possible to see if the card runs properly (remove cd rom drives, extra pci cards, etc.) If that doesn't work, you...

Computer monitors are always 16:10 aspect ratio. Can't comment ont he rest of your concerns since I don't own this monitor, but specs really can't compare to actually seeing LCDs in person.

FireFox has been cracked...

You can try deleting your C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox directory and see if that helps any. Edit: note that this will delete your firefox profile and plugins and such. Given this, I'd recommend simply renaming the directory first, and see how that works...
