I've been planning on building a new PC for awhile now. My 4 year old laptop isn't even cutting it for websurfing anymore.
I'm a little overwhelmed by all the component choices I have these days. I'm not a gamer but I'd like to play the occasional game. I'd also like the ability to upgrade...
So many great games to choose from. Many of my favorites have already been mentioned but one game that I always comes to mind when I think about good video games was:
The Dig
I don't know why but there was just something about it that stuck with me. Lucasarts made some great adventure games.
A frog goes into a bank and approaches the teller. He can see from her nameplate that the teller's name is Patricia Whack.
So he says, "Mrs. Whack, I'd like to get a loan to buy a boat and go on a long vacation."
Patti looks at the frog in disbelief and asks how much he wants to borrow...
I own February Son. I liked the single they put out and happened to catch them at Woodstock '99. I liked them and bought the cd. I haven't listened to it in awhile though.
To add to the above list:
Eve 6 - All three albums
High tenor and proud of it. I've never had any formal training but I live for musicals. Though being the only guy able to sign the 1st/high tenor part most of the time gets really annoying. And yes doo-wop is great.
I've just got to jump in with my opinion here because a lot of my beliefs stem from this type of argument. I can't just believe the universe has existed forever without a cause, hence my belief in a God. If God can create the universe then surely he can have always existed. Its a little bit...
I received mine in the mail yesterday and it is well worth the purchase already. If you do rent it first take the time to actually get into it. It's not the type of game you can sit down and play for ten minutes and fully appreciate.
Just wanted to add my two cents because I keep hearing these things from various people I know.
I personally think this was one of the things the movie wanted you to think about and why PreCrime was shut down in the end.
I do find this to be a poor plot whole but it can be seen as they would...
I'm not one to post here much but I found this article too cool to not mention here.
I wish I could go to England just to see this.

If you dig through the site the image is on thats the explanation they give. I did think of that explanation on my own but only after about 5 minutes and only because I was specifically looking for a reason for it to be pulled. Its a little bit ridiculous if you ask me that they were pulled...
Double major in Computer and Systems Engineering and Electronic Media, Arts, and Communications. I like them both but I can't really see myself actually doing a job with either of them. I think when it comes down to it I'll have spent $150,000 to become a teacher.

Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove.
Oh no! It is an ever fixèd mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken.
....or bends with the remover to remove..... I believe that love exists in a sense outside ourselves. That love...

Thanks. Its amazing how much sense one simple comment can make. It made me smile, at least a little bit.
I know this is long but it's worth reading. I'm not one to post often, even more so about personal issues but I really needed to say this.
There's this girl I've known and been friends with for the past 2 and a half years, basically the very begining of my freshman year of college. About a...
In my experience it depends on the file. Some file types need the whole file in order to play while others don't. If you want to try it out just open the .dat file in a program like media players and if it can play it, it will.

"hey, let's cover the entire campus in flyers with 'alpha delta chi' or some other greek letters with no significance, but we think they sound cool"

I wasn't going to respond to this thread but this one comment has me slightly annoyed. The greek letters of most houses, particularly...
I've been using this program for over a year and I like it a lot. It is really useful for navigating folders and the web. Simply draw a forward line to go forward and a backward line to go back.

Here's my major driving peeve. What I find even worse than people who don't use their blinkers are people who put on their blinkers after they' made a turn. What is the point? It' like they're showing off that they can't drive. They're flaunting it in our faces. Or maybe they just forgot...
I agree with a lot of these books that have been mentioned but I thought I'd throw one out there that I also liked: Stranger in a Strange Labd by Robert A. Heinlein.
It started off as pretty much normal sci-fi fare but boy did it ever go in directions I never thought it would. A very...
I think it is the Brandenberg Concerto #1 by Beethoven. I could be wrong, I'ts been awhile since I've heard it on Masterpiece Theatre but it sounds like the song in my head.

No problem. My pleasure to help. Been a few days since I checked the board. Not sure what other tricks I know about WinXP. I'm doing a lot of intall/setup scripting for work. Basically adapting our Win2k install scripts so they'll work with XP and they've changed so many things that I've...
What the others have said will change the view style but from my experience it still won't bring up the old user manager. To find a solution I had to dig around the Microsoft website, no easy feat. I finally stumbled across it by looking at a question having to do with fixing a computer that...
They are probably the Klipsch Promedia v2-400. They are the model before the 4.2's. The biggest difference is the control knobs and that the 4.1's had their crossover and I think some other things tweaked out to sound better. You can probably get them new between $170 and $200. Look online...
