is my video card temp too high?

Man, there must be something wrong with my temperature reader then. I have my 6800 OC'd to 400/800 and when running HL2:LC with various levels of AA and AF on, the max the temperature ever gets is 56C. So either there's an error someplace in what Rivatuner is reading, or the NV Silence and AS5...

Thanks for the quick replies. From what I gather, it looks like either a GeForce 6600GT or a 6800 would be the better choice for me. As my motherboard kind of limits the data transfer rate anyway, I'm pretty certain that I won't be seeing a huge difference between a 128MB and a 256MB card...

what speed will DVD burners top out at?

Also, at 16x write speed your hard drive would have to supply data at a constant rate of 22.4 MB per second in order to keep up with the burning. So the data transfer rate of the typical hard drives out there will also put a cap at how fast a DVD-Burner can work.

Couldn't he connect his PS2 to the receiver with an Optical Coax cable? I believe that the PS2 has an optical output and most receivers have an optical input. This would free up some connections on the back of the receiver for him.
