I second the KT266A chipset but which motherboard completely depends on what features you are looking for. You might just want to do a forum search on 266a or go back a few pages in the motherboard forum and I'm sure you'll find this question asked a couple of times.

Soyo Dragon Plus IDE question

Well I know you can use the promise conroller as another at ide controller. You simply have to swich over a jumper(the only one the board has) and then install the ultra 100 drivers instead of the raid ones. I don't see why the promise controller wouldn't allow you to have masters and slaves...

Soyo Dragon Plus - UBS getting disabled ?

Did you set your board into "turbo" mode? Whenever you do that it sets all usb ports to disabled for some reason. If thats the case then its not a big issue just set them back to enabled and enjoy.

8500 Retail v/s OEM

but they have the same speed of RAM so it seems like it was just an arbitrary decision on the part of ati. The OEM part also doesn't come with the truform inhanced versions of counterstrike, halflife and team fortress.

Help! TV capture video card needed.

As far as I know the difference is that the VE can only capture in AVI format. As I said before is a gig a minute and you can't change the quality level to make the size more manageable so unless you have a couple of massive harddrives sitting around you'll never be able to capture any long program.

Differeces between Unbuffer & Registered PC2100 DDR ???

Unbuffered is normal RAM for home use while registered and ECC RAM are for servers. Most motherboard won't even accept the registered or ECC RAM and those that do take a slight performance hit from it. Basically if your not using your comp as a server get unbuffered.

Any way to use a Sony PlayStation 2 controller on my PC?

Well, I don't think its possible but I have a Logitech Wingman rumblepad and besides the pressure sensitive buttons and a couple of shoulder buttons it works exactly like a PS2 pad(with a throttle thrown in for looks). Should be pretty cheap too.
