I forgot to say... since quietness is really important, would paying extra for the Corsair AX760 be worth the premium or is it overkill without SLI? Thanks again.

Thanks for the replies so far. I don't think so... having a quiet system is more important to me than ultimate overclockability. I don't mind it being a bit noisier when I am gaming, but I prefer it to be as quiet as possible when I am working or using it as a Media Center.

That's great. Thanks! Is that method better than the one suggested in the MX-1 instructions? (Applying some to the CPU and then pressing the heat-sink down on it & rotating). Also, after you've worked it into both surfaces, do you then just install as normal? Thanks again.

Hi guys, I was just wondering what the best method of applying MX-1 Thermal Compound is? I've used Arctic Silver before and I've always used the method where you apply a dot in the centre and then press & twist the heat-sink on top. I've never been sure if I've used the correct amount...

Memory Errors - What could the cause be?

OK, so I got 2 replacement RAM sticks from Crucial (great customer service!!) and they are passing all the checks fine! So I will now return the other 2 for replacement. So glad it wasn't my motherboard! Thanks for the help.

Cooler Master Praetorian 730 / Cooling Question

I took the air duct out of mine, as it wouldn't fit with my CPU cooler... I have tried it both with and without a 120mm fan instead and there was actually no difference in temperature. The reason for this could be that my Thermalright XP120's fan faces the side opening anyway. I haven't...

Is there a way to make fans turn off on standby

See if you have the option to change Power Saving State from S1 to S3 in the BIOS. That did it for me.

I have the same issue... my PSU's fan speed is not reported. Thought it was a faulty header, but I wasn't bothered to get a replacement. I had an A8N-Deluxe before and I'm sure it supported PSU fan speed monitoring.

What can I say? You hit the nail on the head with all your comments... I totally agree with all of them. My fears about the 2x 80mm fans were unfounded. Noise-wise, it it quieter than my old Lian-Li case that had dual 120mm fans and it is running 10ºc cooler! To sum up: Pros - Cooling...
